she's lost in coma, where it's beautiful,
intoxicated from the deep sleep...
do you wonder what it's like,
living in a permanent imagination?
sleeping to escape reality...
but you like it like that

01.28.04 [21:47] // dream // Penguins are so sensitive to my needs.
My stupid domain is still down, even the e-mail is down and that pisses me off. I just put up a new layout two days ago and I wanted to post about it. Hell, I just want my e-mail. Pretty soon shit from TFL.org is going to be bouncing, and that will not be fun.
So, anywhoot.. I'm actually updating. Yes, I know, it's a miracle.
Enjoy it while it lasts, though. I've made up my mind that I'll probably close my Blurty once I have all three of my domains up & running, blogs and all. Everyone's leaving these parts, so I doubt there'll be a real reason for me to stick around. It's been nice while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end.
Anyhow. So, I only had three classes today. Art, English, and Physics.
Art was okay. Lately we've been going out into the halls to draw with informal perspective for our next project (in the style of Demuth). I'm way ahead of everyone else though.. I had eight thumbnails done and some people just started on theirs today. o_O So anyhow, I got to start on the big paper, and now I'm like 1/3 of the way done with the project already. :)) Doing watercolor is going to be a bitch, but at least it's something different for a change. Two hours = lots of time to listen to JPop. <333 I was also hoping Anett wouldn't be done yet so me & Andrew could have the classroom to ourselves, but no such luck. :/ Did I mention I really don't like Anett anymore? She's so arrogant. Won two competitions and now she thinks she has the right to act like she's better than everyone. She crinkles her nose when she looks at my pieces/drawings, and when Mrs. Peanick said that my chicken is gonna win at the Rodeo next year, she scoffed. Well, she can take all her arrogance and shove it up her German ass!
We had the field test in English. It was pretty darn amusing because no one really took it seriously after they said that we won't be graded and we'll never see the scores. ^o^ Well, I think we did okay on the multiple choice, but no one wanted to write an essay that they're never going to grade or use for anything. Many people just used the essay space to draw pictures, which prompted us to wonder if on the real TAKS, we're allowed to illustrate our compositions. That would be funny! :)) The prompt wasn't so bad, it was like, "Write an essay describing how recognizing the differences in others can help you discover more about yourself." So, I wrote my essay about a penguin that lived with a human family and didn't realize that he was different from everybody else. Then he went to school and all the other kids made fun of him, but everything turned out okay in the end. The penguin's name was Bob.
Then I had lunch. The annoying thing was, English normally has B Lunch, so I was looking forward to having something other than C Lunch for the second time in my life. But, because of the test, they gave us C Lunch! ;_____; Oh well. At least I got to have lunch with Courtney, and Kristen, and Susan G. <33
Physics was teh awesome. We're starting our unit on DC Circuits, so we got to build another circuit.. a more complex one this time. Anyhow, the amusing part was that Curtis has no clue about building circuits. That made me feel tons better, because Mrs. Schweiger was like, "Okay, attach the battery to the ammeter using a lead," and I was like, "Uhh, which of these gadgets is a lead?" >_> I learned pretty quickly though. Anyway, we had the second half of the period to mess around with our circuit, which, again, was amusing. I was apparently the only one who really understood the circuit diagram, because Curtis and Nick kept messing up. Then, I gave Nick the 5 Ohm resistor, but he switched it for the 25 Ohm resistor for whatever reason, and when we tried to take our first data we got like a 700% error. ;] ROTFL. We were supposed to get < 10%. We finally figured it out though. ;D But then, we were still getting percent errors slightly over 10%, so we decided to do what we're best at: MANIPULATING LAB DATA. *dies laughing* Ahh, Curtis and I set the precedent for that one quite a while ago. Too funny. Would suck if Mrs. S found out about it, but we've proven that we're good at it. Lastly, the boys weren't following directions. You were supposed to open the switch, turn on the power, close the switch, take data, and open the switch again real quickly to prevent the resistor from heating up a lot. Well, they just kept the switch closed the entire time. So, as a result, the resistors really heated up, and at one point one of them got so hot that it began to smoke and melted the bottom of Nick's pen. XDDD We could smell it burning. And Curtis burned his finger several times when picking it up. That cracked me up.
It's probably one of those things where you just had to be there. :P But trust me, it was funny.
Also, we got our tests back. With the bonus, I made a 98. Compared to my last few tests that's a little low, but almost everyone did a little worse than they usually do because the multiple choice questions were pretty tricky. Even Curtis missed three multiple choice questions; he got a 97. So I am kicking major ass in that class. I have a 99 average right now; that's like the highest I have ever had in there. Curtis has a 95. :))
So, now I am home, and I have been wasting time most of the night because I am tired and don't feel like doing much of anything. Tomorrow should be even easier than today; first I have two hours of Study Hall, and then two hours of Chemistry where we probably won't do anything except review (read: sit around and doodle) because our test is on Friday. PreCal will suck because we have two quizzes, but mehh. Overall it should be an easy day. We have Orsôrum after school (darn, I forgot to ask Curtis), and I might go to the 7:30 PM yoga class because I'm not feeling the best right now. We'll see.
