wow...the first post of the new year. big fat deal. i don't really care. um, some people are into new year's resolutions and all that, i don't really believe in them. i think they set you up all the wrong way. but i came up with some resolution-type goals for the new year:
a) get a job
b) keep track of money better
c) make it to cornerstone
d) practice with daniel a lot

there were a few more, but since i don't really care about resolutions, i didn't bother to remember them. heh. my brother got mario kart double dash for christmas, it is way freakin cool. i've been playing it a lot lately. susan's party was fun, driving back in the morning was too. but even more fun was staying up all day until 4 in the morning. yesterday wes and i planned out our ideas from a trip to cornerstone this summer. it's gonna be so freakin awesome. now i just have to keep my fingers crossed that he can make it. my parents have already cleared it. and peter might come with us. oh man, it's gonna be so awesome. therefore, it is like the only thing on my mind right now.

here's the lyrics to the song that i wrote this week. after that, i think i'm gonna go to bed. yea. well, here you go:

evergreen
A leaf falls down from the branch
Floating softly down
It asked for one last chance
But the tree said go

Go it your own way
You're finally free
I could always tell
You thought you were better than me

And autumn moves on
Drifting to the ashes
Winter closes in
You'll never last this

(They saw one leave and)
They all began to cry
For their freedom
(Another star)
Shot across the sky
Each time he said go

Go it your own way
You're finally free
I could always tell
You thought you could make it without me

And autumn moves on
Drifting to the ashes
Winter closes in
You'll never last this

(I wish they had all been evergreens)

But I will never leave
I'll always be evergreen

out like a broken lampost,
marc
