9:46 am - the best day
It's my birthday today and I am sixteen years old now. And last night was crazy around CCN. Fires in dumpsters, fires in bushes, firemen, although nobody can complain about them. We went over to my sister's friend's house to watch the fireworks display that was at Sunnyside Park. It was alright, for a little town.
VOTE ON THIS: Where should Melissa, Priscilla, and I move to when Melissa graduates from college?
A) Near Los Angeles (Palmdale/Lancaster Area)
B) Las Vegas
C) Hawaii (if so, which island?)
D) Other (Specify, please)
Onto other business before I must leave so I can have a decent birthday-- I got my haircut and my ears pierced for my birthday. Melissa had to work today but she left me a birthday present on the coffee table which included Jelly Bellies! And I have had a request to post my poetry but I wasn't sure if they wanted me to post it here or someplace else (i.e. the writing community I'm in) so I'm posting it here.

The Man in Black

The Man in Black never dies,
and has no lost loves
or ones to mourn as he crawls,
through the graveyard of sand,
past the bleeding,
or pained, moon.
The lightening falls near
the Man in Black,
and thunder follows his every move.
But he never dies.
The endless desert and the
crosses of none, nothing, but
everything matters to him.
Through the pelting rain and the blood
washing away,
the Man in Black carries himself
further, never relenting,
always chasing his prey
through life.
The Man in Black never dies.

Thank you and I hope everybody has a g'day.

11:04 am - just another wednesday
I just finished with driver's ed and I have a drive time at 1:30 to show Mr. Johnson what a wonderful parallele parker I am and to remind him how well I did backing around the curb (onto the sidewalk). But it will be alright because we don't have class on Friday or Monday!
Melissa doesn't work on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday but she has to work on my birthday. It is very sad. I don't know what to do for my birthday.. Maybe we could go see Spider-Man 2 then, since that will be about the only day I have off.
And guess what, if Caitlin does turn out to be pregnant, she says I'm going to be the godmother. Yay!

6:18 pm - witches and vampires, oh my
Since I have my own room, I can start my practicing somewhat but I can't wait until I move out to be able to have total freedom. And I can't wait for school to get closer so I can buy some new notebooks. I need some for my book and for my poems.
Caitlin called again but I don't get free minutes until after nine so she is going to call back at 9:30. For those who don't know, which is all of you, Caitlin is my twin sister and best friend who still lives in Aberdeen, for now. Her last court date is August 13th so she might move here after that. (Yes, she's a bit of a troublemaker. And I'm the sweet one.)
Driver's ed was boring and Danica finally admitted that Mr. Johnson hates me. She goes over the stopping point and he doesn't say a word. I try my hardest and go over by an inch and he's like, "Are you using your reference points cause you passed the stop line!?" And then she was driving and going about 60 in a 55 zone and he didn't say one freaking word. I would go 53 or 54 and he would be like, "Speed up!!!" So I would go faster and he would be like, "Oh! You are going 56! Over the speed limit! Slow down!!!!"
I just wanted to shoot him.
It's days like these that make me wanna scream.

8:31 pm - sunday morning
I decided to get yet another online journal/blog/diary thingy-majigg because that is what I do. I have a very old livejournal running around somewhere and it is so old that it was when I was living with my parents. Wow, that is almost a year ago! I have my poor little diaryland one that pisses me off because it never lets me sign in unless I type in my password twenty-three times! Besides, I like diaryland for the little surveys.
I guess, like always, since this is my first entry, I should tell you about myself. Tomorrow, I will be sixteen in one week. My name is Janelle but I have so many nicknames. A few of them are Nelles, (which is for Melissa's use only), Jaycee (J.C.) and Janchan, (created by Caitlin), Janellie (used by Shaunte and Katie's little brother), Janellie-Bellie and Janoody (created by Katie), and Janey which can be used by whoever. There have been many nicknames that have been around the block and fell in the gutter such as Senna/Seanna, Kau, Orian, Jou, Sora, and many many others inspired by books and animes.
Lemesee, I used to live in the hometown of Kurt Cobain which, if any devoted fan is here and should know, is Aberdeen. But I moved across the state to live with my older sister, Melissa, as she trudges through college. (And I'll give you ten points if you can guess the college and twenty points if you guess the city.)
I am currently enrolled in driver's ed and I am currently dreading my drive time on Monday, because besides that being a week until my birthday, is the day of parallele parking. And it isn't easy to practice all this crap in a stick and then try to do it on an automatic. And I am absolutely horrible at backing around a curb. ((I went up on the sidewalk last time.)) And he just looks at me evilly and says, "You need to practice!" And I think, "Some people don't have no lives and can practice all day! My sister works and how do you expect me to practice without someone in the car!?!"
Besides driver's ed and our money situation (as in we don't have any), I'm just peachy.
