I just got a new bed! I think this might be my first-ever $400 purchase of something material. Then since I got a full and I only have bedding for a twin, I bought new bedding. So yeah, I feel like a big spender today. I'm excited though! Yay no more garage-sale-hand-me-down-piece-of-crap!
I'm also going to a Mardi Gras ball! When I was at Target shopping for bedding, I saw Melissa and Kansas, and they were like, hey, what are you doing? Going to the Mardi Gras ball with us tonight? Apparently they signed me up to help clean up afterwards, which means I get free admission to the festivities, a $50 value! Fun times! So I bought a fun-looking-but-inexpensive dress at Ross Dress For Less. Pictures to follow.
Aaaand I finally caved. After years of resisting saying I like chick flicks, it all changed last night when my roomie got me to watch The Notebook with her. I also pride myself on not really letting movies make me cry...oh my gosh though I had tears streaming down my cheeks and had to take deep breaths to keep from sobbing (and therefore letting on that I was crying)! It made me miss my grandpa :(. (not that he had alzheimer's, but he loved his wife to the very, very end.) |
