#1 I once had a conversation with a girl named Mischelle when we were driving down the freeway. She said she had two best friends, one for each side of her. She had one best friend that was really angelic and another who was much more mischevious. I said I have two best friends for the two different sides of me too. One is called Rat and she is loud and aggressive and funny and angry. The other is named Miko and she is much more laid back and introspective and creative and happy. Is this true for most people, or just us?
#2 One of my favorite pop-punk rock heros of my childhood was Dr. Frank. Tonight I found out he has his own weblog: http://www.doktorfrank.com/ Reading through his entries, I am incredulous at how someone so incredibly boring (about a 9.8 on the richter scale of boredom...off the charts, almost) could come up with cute, funny lyrics like "i love you more than toast but less than a staple gun". I wonder if he has two best friends as well; one who is an adorable twenty-something year old who works at a tea house and makes homemade valentines and writes science-fiction novels and stomps around in rain boots, even when it's not raining, and another who is a stuffy boring middle-aged stock broker. Read his website and then read his lyrics. I bet it's true.
