I went over to LJ and this is what I found...
Our data center (Internap) lost all its power, including redundant backup power, for some unknown reason. (unknown to me, at least) We're currently dealing with bringing our 100+ servers back online. Not fun. We're not happy about this. Sorry... :-/ More details later.
I'm over it. Haha.
I totally forgot that I had this journal. I made it in my freshman year of college, at Lori's urging. I did it to bitch about everything that bothered me with my depression...then I was just happy and normal once again and I just put random shit in here...then I went though my horrible "rating community" phase...then I stopped typing in this...until now! Haaaa. Good times, good times.
SOOOOOOOOO...in keeping with the fact that I must record my daily events at any cost, as long as it doesn't involve me writing them out on paper, since my handwriting sucks and I'd never be able to read it ever, ever again if I did...*ahem*...
I couldn't sleep last night, so I e-mailed Mr. Bertelino about a new class for next semester. Because of my Thursday schedule (Bio 2 Lab at 10 - 11:40 AM and Painting One at 1 - 3:30 PM), that screws me up because I couldn't take a Tu./Th. class at 9:25 or 1 or 2:25 because it would interfere with my Thursday classes. I found a Thursday NIGHT class, Womens Health Issues. It looks really interesting, it would fit into my schedule, and there is no pre-req., so I e-mailed him and asked him if I could take it. He did e-mail me back, but if he said no...I'll be irritated. I've decided not to look at the e-mail until Monday, since I don't want to ruin my last 3 days at home! Haaaa...
I went to the dentist today, and the cavity that I thought I had didn't actually exist! *phew* I was so relieved when I didn't have one! I mean...I've been convinced. I've been convinced 100% that I had one. I'm thinking, "Well, I'm $178 in the hole now to pay for a filling!" So yes, big relief! They didn't even give me an X-Ray...so I guess my wisdom teeth must be fine enough too. Dr. Bird came in. I was so glad to see him! He was trying to remember my college. Kelly, my hygenist, knew, and it was The Guessing Game for a good five minutes! He never got it. It was really funny. Also, Kelly is a big "Reno 911" fan! Last night with the episode with the firemen and the pancake dinner, and her husband is a firefighter down in Waterbury, so she could appreciate the humor in it. It was awesome...
Ok...fucking weird, yet typical, New England Weather here, people! It was 60 and raining at 9 AM. At 10 AM, it was raining/sleeting/snowing and about 40-ish. By 11 AM, it was snowing and in the 30s. By 2 PM, it was done and in the 30s still. Nuts.
I decided that I wanted to go out...so I went to the swinging metropolis...of Millerton, NY! *woooot* I'm so horrible. I have a Brooks five minutes down the road from me in my own town, but I'll actually drive 15 minutes over to CVS and pay a 8.75 % NY State sales tax just because I prefer CVS. Yes. I suck. I realize that. I've embraced it. I got Cadbury Mini-Eggs today! *mmmmmm* Hey...Easter is in March this year...I can start celebrating early, right? *snort* I got some things for school, like some new body wash, some soap, some lotion, some new lip gloss, some gum...I think I threw a new 5-subject notebook in there too, just for good measure.
I went to McDonald's in Millerton. Nothing like practicing your spanish!!!! (Ooooh, I'm so horrible. So, so horrible.) Hey, I haven't had papas fritas largas in a while. Too bad they were all cold and soggy. Did I eat them? You bet your sweet ass I did!
This weather was weird. Lakeville was so white compared to my area. Even Salisbury wasn't as white as Lakeville. There was water everywhere. There was a river...literally...going though someone's front yard, a river that, I do believe, under normal circumstances, would not exist if it weren't for the buckets of rain we got last night. Not only that, but the Housatonic is really full, and the Blackberry? Forget it. It's burst it's banks and is flooding like crazy! Silly weather...
I chilled tonight. Whatev.
I'm talking to Chrissy right now. I kind of wish I was at school right now...but then I have to appreciate home, because I have no idea when I'm coming back! At this point, since Marissa is now visiting the only possible weekend I could go home in February, I really might not be coming back home until Spring Break! Crazy, man, crazy.
...well...LJ is still down. I'm over it.
Aunt Peg is here this weekend. Maybe I can con her into taking me to see In Good Company. Nothing like a free movie! If it's playing in Millerton, we're golden!
