Last Sunday, I got a call from Ivy na may mini-reunion daw at their house. I was surprised to find only Earvin there with loads of people I don't know. Pero kebs lang, baka na-late lang yung mga tao so chikahan muna kaming tatlo. After 30 minutes, this guy stood in front of us and started asking me if I want to earn in my spare time. Aba, mukhang planado ang lahat dahil may manila paper na sa wall with matching brochures and catalogues.
It turned out na nire-recruit nila ako sa First Quadrant. Dang, I was pissed-off. Muntik na nga akong mag-walk out. I was really angry at my friends for setting me up. The seminar lasted for two hours at parang ayaw pa 'ata nila akong pauwiin hannga't di ako nakaka-sign ng application form.
At san naman naman ako kukuha ng P8,880? Ok let's say, it's a legit business. My point is they don't have the right to lie to me. Kung magrerecruit man sila, sana walang pilitan at pambibilog-ulo. Lech.

Star City was a blast!!! Grabe super enjoy kaming lahat ng mga blockmates ko... Talagang sinulit namin yung Ride All you Can. (duh!) It's nice to see tons of people there so parang feeling mo talaga'y Pasko na. hehe Yung nga lang parang sobrang commercialized na yung place. Ang daming kiosks. From fake perfumes, bags, signature clothings to pirated dvds meron sila. Anobuzz?!! Basta it's like going to Greenhills minus the rides. I was also surprised na most of their rides was indoors. I can't help but compare it to EK kasi parang 'di nya na-capture yung ambiance that EK projects eh. But nonetheless, ok naman kasi 'di taga yung presyo ng food. With P50, you could have your dinner na.
Una naming sinakyan yung Viking. Mala-anchor's away sya, yung nga lang it was indoors. Kala ko masusuka na kami dun, yun pala mas astig yung Flying Carpet (or was it Magic Carpet?). Basta sobrang nawingang kaming lahat dun. hahaha. Add to that yung bloopers namin sa Gabi ng Lagim. Sobrang funny nung nahulugan si Hazel and Janny nung parang spider ba yun... Basta kodak moment. Kakagulat sobrang yung mga mannequins na biglang nnag-aapear. Halos mapatid na yung litid ko kakasigaw. hahaha (pati narin dun sa catterpillar. joke).
Then there was the Wild River. I was seated at the back so just imagine 2 people leaning. haha Ta's basang-bana pa yung shoes namin. Baho tuloy ng paa ko paghubad ko ng socks. Ewww.
After some ho-hum rides, I decided to take the "Round Up". Its like being in a spiral disk with you standing and having grills and chains to ensure your safety. Sobrang bumaligtad sikmura ko nung lalo ng nung tumagilid yung disk. Tapos ma naririnig pa kaming crack. Feeling ko tuloy baka matanggal yung bakal at lumipad kami. hahaha. It's one of the scariest rides in Star City so if you guys plan of going there, go check it out. And make sure it will would fall on a weekend dahil super dami ng tao. Inabot talaga kami ng siyam-siyam kakapila sa buimper car, ferris wheel pati dun sa boat thing. (haller?)
I'll try to post some pics hers soon. For now, pahinga muna ako dahil super puyat talaga kami. Ciao! =)

For the nth time natanggal na naman yung strap ng sandals ko. hahaha. Gawa ata sa bakal yung paa eh. Napansin ko lang nung nakatawid ako na'ko sa Bagong Barrio. Ewan ko ba, pag-alis ko ng bahay ok pa naman sya. Bihira ko ngang suotin 'tong sandals na'to eh. Pareho kayang natanggal 2 straps so just imagine me walking on bare feet while waiting for a taxi. Good thing, may dala akong extra money kasi super mahal ng singil sa'kin ng taxi.
Basta dun ako sa likod ng SC nagpababa. Dun sa Coop. And since 8am pa lang at di ko pa pwedeng ipa-repair yung sandals ko dahil sarado yung shop, napilitan akong bumili ng slippers...errr... Flipflops dun. Imagine me wearing a blouse, slacks with matching handbag na naka-flipflops. hahaha. Oh well, whatta a fashion statement to start the day.
Dati kaya mas malupit yung nangyari sa'kin. Nasa BA pa kasi yung School of Stat eh pupunta kaming Film Center kasi may sponsored na moive yung org namin. Aba, natanngal sa Sunken. Nilakad kaya namin hanggang SC na naka-safety pun lang yung strap. haha eng-eng ko talaga eh.
Tapos ngayon, feel ko lang magpaka-pagirl para magpa-impress dun sa seatmate ko sa French tapos sablay pa. haha ang landi. Hay nako, pag pinagtawanan nya 'ko later, ife-French kiss ko sya. Echos! O di ba daanin na lang sa tawa ang lahat!!
So much for my story. Kelangan ko pa palang ipatahi yung straps nito. Nga pala, I'm going to Star City tomorrow with my blockmates. Sarap siguro maglakad sa Baywalk after. Can't wait. hehe. Wish ko lang di naman ako malasin bukas debah? Basta happy weekend sa lahat!!!

Glad to be back after almost a month of bumming around (hey, it's sembreak) and being inactive from blurty for about uhmmm... 2 weeks? God, I miss my journal. I miss talking about my (mis)adventures. And of course, I miss you guys (uyyy sipsip). hehe.
So what happened to me after that incident in SM Marilao? Jeez, Masyado ko atang dinamdam yung nangyari. Trinangkaso ako for a week. It sucks na matulog gabi-gabi with a roll of tissue at my bedside. It's like I've been in an emotional wreck or something. Tapos my mom would always let me inhale the steam of boiled water with salt para daw mawala yung bara ng ilong ko (Na according to Ya Chang of MTB ay effective). All I did was to stay home for about a week watching Mulawin and StarStruck. Add to that yung Six Feet Under dvds na pinahiram sa'kin ng friend ko. Akmang-akma ngayong Halloween. hehehe.
Anyway, Last Sunday pala was the "surprise despedida" for my blockmate, Aki. It was held in Cubao. We're supposed to meet in Mcdo Alimall and I was surprised to see it's so squeeky clean (from male prostis). I remember when Aki, Billy and I were still freshies and we would pass near the gutters, there's this guy who keeps on making kindat, as if naman pipickupin namin sya noh. Ang dungis nya kaya. hahaha.
Back to the party, well it was a success (kasi na-surprise sya). Sobrang emotional nga naming lahat eh kasi nga aalis na sya for Okinawa, Japan the 1st week of November. 'Di kami nakakain ng husto kasi may umiyak. I dunno, it's quite disturbing if you ask me. Buti nakalma naman namin sya so kahit papaano happy-happy ulit. Sarap mag-reminisce ng college life noh? Para ngang gusto kong mag-overnight sa kanila nun kaso wala akong dalang toothbrush and of course, undies kaya shempre dyahe noh. 'Di bale ng manghiram ng damit was lang undies. hahaha. Tapos I got scolded pa for coming home at 12:30am. Oh well, parang dumadaan na naman ako sa adolescence. Being an only child has it's disadvantages. =(

Hanggang ngayon yata traumatized pa rin ako sa nanyari sa'kin last Sunday. I was trying to call my cel kaso "cannot be reached" lagi eh. Nakakapanghinayang talaga, just imagine that all of my friend's numbers are stored there so it will be quite hard retrieving it one by one (Five pa lang yung nagrereply sa'kin sa friendster).
Add to that na trinatrangkaso ako ngayon. I'm just staying home all by my lonesome. hay pathethic talaga ng buhay ko. Sana maging ok rin ako. Try nyo naman 'tong tawagan o i-text baka sakaling magreply or makonsyensya pag kayo yung nambulabog -- 09276859781

One Saturday morning I just felt like going to Quiapo for some dvd hunting. Knowing me, super lakas kong topakin. I was glad when my friend Abs dropped by our house during lunchtime. I asked him to accompany me to Quiapo. Sobrang neophyte ko kaya sa place na yun. Ewan ko, mas kalmado pa'ko pag nasa Divisoria ako dahil dun ako lumaki. Bawat sulok 'ata ng Divi kabisado ko na.
Back to Quiapo, so pagdating namin sa Tomas Mapua St., Sta. Cruz (yung malapit sa Funeraria Paz), Abs and I decided to walk na lang kasi super traffic eh. Yup, di na sa Doroteo Jose dumadaan yung mga jeep. Grabe kaya. As is sobrang malayo yung nilakad namin. Pero at least feeling ko mas safe dun sa ginawang park ni Atienza. Dati kasi pinapamugaran yun ng mga snatchers eh. So naglakad kami hanggang sa dalhin kami ng mga paa namin sa Quiapo Church. May nakapagsabi kasi sa'kin na sa Hidalgo St. mero daw dung 1 bldg. na puro dvd ang tinda. Not knowing what Hidalgo side, we went to Mercury Drug and made tanong to aling nagtitinda ng damit. She pointed to the wrong side so ayun nagmura na yung feet ko sa sobrang haba ng nilakad namin. Good thing pagdating namin malapit sa underpass, there was this kind soul who told us na nasa kabilang side pala yung building na hinahanap namin.
As we reached the other side, to the so-called 'dvd kingdom'.. we were overwhelmed to see thousands of dvds on sale. Super mura pa @ P65. Abs and I started to ask for "Queer as Folk" dvds. Too bad di kasya sa budget namin so baka yun ang balikan namin next time. Btw, yung nakita namin was the building na de-aircon. I was able to buy 4 dvds there. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Dogville and a French movie (na nakalimutan ko na yung title).
I thought that was it. When we traversed the street near Mini-stop, I was apalled by dozens of people entering this narrow hallway. Natawa nga ko kay Abs when this guy offered him this porn movie eh (and twice!!). Whoa. This was bigger!! Super nagkalat mga dvds..as in malulula ka talaga. I promised myself that next time I will make a list kasi sobrang nakaka-entice bilhin lahat eh. Yung Sex and the City and Queer as Folk as in super ganda ng packaging!!! hahahaha. We went to the 2nd floor and there I found 'Pieces of April' and 'Kenpark' (sounds familiar, browncow?)
Hilig ko talaga sa indie films. I was able to watch Pieces of April and Dogville and all I can say is sobrang galing ni Katie Holmes and Nicole, add to that a superb plot. (as in pauso talaga!!) Lars Von Tier is my new idol!! hahaha.
Siguro papanoorin ko yung "Kenpark" sa Monday pag ala na parents ko. Abs told me that after watching it he was so horrified to the nth level. This I have to see. =)
Thank God for Quiapo. Yes to piracy! hahaha.

Nakaka-harrass ang finals week! Sigh. Im starting to have pimples, not to mention these gigantic eyebags. Mukha akong tumanda ng 5 years. hahahaha. Promise super ngarag talaga. Ilang gabi na rin akong less than 5 hours ang tulog ha. 'Di ko kinaya. Add to that na nag-crash yung pc sa bahay. Sabi sira yung processor pati motherboard. It's so unfair kaya! I have papers to finish tapos ngayon pa nagkaganito. P18,000 daw aabutin. Might as well buy a new one, debah? Good thing may partner ako so kahit papapaano he could print what've researched sa net... haaaayyy...
I'm really looking forward na mag-sembreak na. I'm so exhausted! I think I deserve to relax naman somewhere. Kakainggit nga yung friend ko eh, punta syang Bali, Indonesia sa sembreak. Ako kaya? Puro damuhan lang sa Bulacan narating ko eh. Sana'y talaga maging super ok yung acads ko para naman matuwa sa'kin mom ko at payagan nya kong mag-bakasyon. I'm sure baka nasa tindahan na naman ako nito sa sembreak if ever. Divisoria girl ever!! hahaha.
Gosh, sana ok exam ko tomorrow. 6 exams to go!! bwahahahha.
btw, Ron Howard (A beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) is signed on to direct movie version of The Vinci Code and Akiva Goldsman( A beautiful mind, BATMAN AND ROBIN!) to write the screenplay. There are unconfirmed reports that Mr. Howard is in talks with Russel Crowe and Kate Beckinsale for the lead roles. hehe excited na'ko! =)

Is God playing tricks on me? Judging from my previous posts, I can't help but to laugh at myself for being so "sabog". Yung tipong dada ka na lang ng dada without thinking of the content and relevance of your entry. I'm like -- whoa, Tina statue? Has Stat really turned you into a zombie or are you just posssed by another being? You're just like everyone else, going with the natural order of things. You're starting to get predictable. Na-pollute na nga ba yung utak mo ng PARAMETRIC FAMILIES OF DISCRETE AND CONTINUOUS DENSITIES, VECTOR SPACES AT POTENTIAL FUNCTIONS?
Not that it's bad for me to be so studious. My point is, just when I'm about to appreciate my course, I'm starting to lose my other abilities. Teka, nakalimutan ko na nga bang magsulat? Siguro oo. Ah ewan.
Nababaliw na nga 'ata ako. haha simpleng bagay pinapalaki. Sana sa sembreak I'll turn back to my usual self. Pero right now mukhang I'll be just like any student working their ass off. It's blood, sweat and tears in the weeks to come. Uh-oh.

My mom's sick. Just when her birthday's fast approaching tsaka siya tinatrangkaso. Naawa nga ko sa kanya eh. Imagine, Monday to Saturday, she goes to work and I do't hear her complain. 36 years na kaya niyang hinahandle yung family business namin. Minsan naainis ako sa sarili ko kasi I can't seem to be of help to her. Wala akong hilig sa pagtitinda sa Divisoria. Mas gusto ko sa office. hehe. Tapos may class pa'ko so I can't help her sa store. Kung pwede nga lang pahinga na lang siya sa bahay eh kaso pinipilit pa rin nya.
I'm not used in seeing her sick. I starting to get worried. Aba, unica hija kaya ako. Lagi na lang akong pinapa-alalahanan ni Ma that if she dies, (o di ba may deathwish, morbid.) kawawa daw ako. At 21, super dependent ko raw. Akala lang niya yun. Hope by the time I graduate, she could see me and be proud of me. \
