Oh, well. Mostly I ran a ton of errands today. But I got in my bike ride and here is the picture to prove it. Slightly better one.

It's been pretty good the past week or so. No school, just life. I have gone to curves every other day, and five miles on my bike on the other days. I intend to go up to seven on my bike next week. I feel motivated lately. I think it's the wellbutrin. Who knows. I cleaned up the living room, did laundry and now have one of the kids little friends sleeping over. I took them to movies in the park, but they were too tired to stay up for it. Tomorrow I go and get my hair cut by the most wonderfully gay, and super fabulous Jerry. I love it, and he is worth every cent. Trip to New York in just a week. Everyday I ride my bike I intend to take the new camera out for a spin too. I took it today...here is the picture. Clearly, I need more practice, but that's ok I have the whole summer stretching out in front of me.

I just can't help it. You are a tabby cat. The total home-body. You'd be content just to stay at home all day and not get up from the couch. You lazy sloth! George W. is in town today, doing $25,000 a plate fund raiser for the republican party. Stopping traffic, and making a general nuisance of himself. He is in the building right next to the one R works in. Freaks me out pretty badly. I mean if something happened R would be at ground zero. Do my impending ulcer some good, will you, and go home? I can't stand the man, or his minions. Rhett & Tonya (and whomever else this applies to) I know you like him...we must just agree to disagree, k? Love you, but I hate him. |

I'm trying to learn how to knit, I can actually crochet a bit...like enough to make granny squares or scarves, but with the knitting I had hit a brick wall with the casting on, which is what you have to do in order to start knitting. Sigh. However... I finally got it today, I've tried several times, it's harder then it looks. Makes my wish I had grand mother who could teach me, but I did find a group of women who meet at Portland Brew (coffee shop) twice a month and I plan to take what I've taught myself and learn more. This is a "Stitch & Bitch" group, so I am pretty happy. Of course this link is to another groups site. Ah , I forgot. Yesterday I made chickpea stew with couscous for dinner and I rode my bike with the Kidlet. Today, for dinner we had Amy's Organic lasagna and I made it to workout at curves. |

I don't need the new fad ultra violence in TV shows, The Sopranos, The Shield, Oz. It's just too much for me most nights, distressing, pressure, whatever. Ultra Violence...Clockwork Orange? No, just screaming, the sound of bones shattering, wet sound of flesh tearing. Who needs it? Some have decent writing, good plots, but even without physical violence the story-lines are full of pain and pressure. Hurt, rape, debauchery is it an apology for the world? I do not apologize. ( quiz ) |

I've mostly come to the realization that we have just too much stuff. This is disturbing because 95% of my stuff still lives in storage. However, it's not the end of the world. R has a hobby habit, he starts hobbies, buys all the accouterments...and then the stuff just sits there. Usually they are good hobbies (ham, VW, stars), so I can't really say anything. Except, of course, I just noticed him looking at paint ball guns. No new hobbies until he lets go of an old one he does not play with anymore. We are getting good at the clean sweep thing on a small scale, like a closet or a drawer. It's slow, but possible if I have the patience for it. I made a tasty vegetarian chili for dinner. I also made it to workout. |

We went to the renaissance festival today. I had been really excited, but it was only so-so. I had not been in many years, and it has really grown since I was last there. Too much , maybe.The booths and paths were over crowded, and it was impossible to move around, and it was overpriced. There was some stuff that I enjoyed. They did a bird of prey show that was pretty cool. Whatever, anyhow it's been a good weekend. |
