4:21 pm - Wayne Rooney with Man Utd!
Rooney looks odd, scary and violent. But he's a good player. Can't wait to see him in the Red Devils' jersey in action! Should be good.

Man Utd's been pretty crappy so far. Still, I support the team. Well I don't know but it seems to me that ever since Beck's left, there seems to be a void in the team. Everything's not as smooth as before. Is it coz of his presence? skill? Sir Feggie's growing old? Hven't seen those impressive set pieces Sir Feggie used to use in the earlier days when I was a newbie to watching soccer.

I think I'm so totally lost when it comes to watching soccer and whatever's happening in the soccer world or the EPL. So many new names and new faces. Mr K was the one who keeps me informed on who's who and what's their parentage, special skill etc. I'm still stick in the times when Cantona was still around, Lee Sharpe and Schmeichel. heh eons ago! Now whenever I watch soccer, I won't know the names of the players unless they've been around for sometime. I watch the game as a whole. Don't look out for a particular player or particular players anymore.

People are surprised that I like to watch soccer. They always ask me, am I watching the games for the guys? Heh who am I kidding when I say no I watch the game purely? haha Of course I watch the players as well! But I do enjoy watching the game. I know people who think that it's boring and senseless. I know someone who couldn't find the soccer ball in the field (initially) when she's forced to watch a soccer match with me (simply coz I was hogging the TV haha.) I enjoy watching sports. Dunno y. But it's nice. It's interesting and exciting. It's a pity we do not have sports people who are as good as the foreign sportsmen and women. We have good ones based on our own standards but they are getting older. We need young blood. Are we still looking out for talented youngster and grooming them? Whatever happened to that sports programme our gov was promoting? The sports school or something? I heard they abolished the Soccer vision thingee already huh? When will we be able to match world standards? Soon I hope. Am I being too hopefully? optimistic? No? Yes? Maybe? ;)

12:06 am - A simul post on both my journals
I am disappointed with Singaporeans. After J lost her mobile in Delifrance at JP.

We went back to the place and searched. The table was cleared and the customers (according to Miss Y) still in the place are the same people (I didn't notice them in fact so I dunno how true this is.). I asked the Manager if they found a mobile. He said he didn't see anything and asked his staff. No was the answer. Hmmmmm.

Miss Y and I suspect the person who cleared the table kept the phone.

Reason for such an accusation:
Our table was cluttered with plates, cutlery and other rubbish. The only person who will notice the mobile will be the person who cleared the table.

The mobile wasn't even the high-end ones and it's not ex! Such dishonesty! No morals! No integrity!

This incident upset J. By right she should be the one who's feeling like this. But I feel upset for her loss too. Dunno why. She asked me why. I said I dunno. Weird. Just so disappointed with the behaviour of some Singaporeans.

J is known for being a 'big head prawn' (think cantonese pls). She left her (branded) wallet (mind you it contains ID, student card, drivers' license, bank cards, credit card, money n stuff) at Eagle Boys when we went to order take-away pizza when we were in Brissie. Her wallet was kept (in tact, whoever found it didn't 'search' or look/rummage through it) in the store and returned to her when we went back for it.

Why can Aussies return the things they pick up to their owners while Singaporeans have a tendency to keep it for themselves? Is it the culture? Educational level? Or?

Will we ever be a gracious society? When will that be? If people don't behave with integrity?

So disappointed.

Whoever STOLE/KEPT J's mobile, (I quote J) 'may a thousand flies infest your.......'! PUI!

12:49 am - Just wanna update an entry here. Been using xanga way too often. So unfair to blurty!
I have a thing for colours and polka dots!

Why?

Been surfing around looking at the layout of other people's blogs at blogspot. Looked only at the layout? Coz those blogs I chanced upon are not in a language I'm familiar with.......e.g. french, dutch, spanish......
Some have funky colours and picures while others have simple lines and polka dots.

I love colours. Any colour except BRIGHT (or luminous) YELLOW heh. Reason for dislike: It blinds me.

And what I've been doing? Watching the Athens Game what else?! :P

Hoogenband's the champ! Just won the Men 100m Freestyle. Tough race between him and Roland Mark Schoeman.

Poor o'Thorpee won the bronze. Seemed not to be in form. Wonder why. He started off pretty slow and didn't seem to play catch up at the end.

1:11 am - Showdown
200m Freestyle Men. Phelps Vs Thorpe.

Result: Thorpe wins gold. Broke OR. Phelps won bronze upstaged by cute Dutch swimmer van den Hoogenband who got silver.

Ian Thorpe seriously acts very gay. Is he gay? Who cares. I'm just amused coz of the silly spoof they did of him on Comedy Inc. or was it Skithouse? Gay or not gay, he's a very good swimmer and a huge man! Channel U's reporter nicknamed him, da4 jiao3 shui3 guai4, literally, big feet water monster. LOL

Poor Phelps looked so disappointed. He seemed like he's forcing his smiles. Poor kid. Well there's always the next Olympics.

100m Breaststroke Women now. Brooke Hanson is pretty. Hope she or Leisel Jones wins this event.
Woah a chinese athlete won it! Haiz poor start for Leisel Jones. Not good enough this time. But at least the Aussies got 2nd (Hanson) and 3rd (Jones).

Love the Visa ad for the Athens Game. Very good concept. Very unexpected. Catches people off guard. Keeps people thinking that it's some ad to promote the olympics. Very humourous ad. Wonder which co did it. Should go google and find out.

1:01 am - I'm an Olympics junkie
Maybe that's coz there's nothing else on tv to watch. I love watching swimming. Dunno why. But today, I watched almost everything. Softball, gymnastics, more swimming, diving, badminton, beach volleyball and some other events during channel surfing. (mmmm surfing.....I wanna do more of it!) I should get a life! But I wanna bum! I'm a bummer! I love to bum. Who doesn't like to bum?!

This is bad though. I watch way too much tv. Can't help it. It's my addiction.

I love reading too. But I'm done with reading the latest (?) Anne Rice book for the vampire chronicles. Nothing else to read at home, 'cept some resume-writing books (haizzz...).

Maybe I should start reading her Mayfair witches collection.

She (technically, according to the book, Lestat) wrote about the Mayfairs in Blood Canticle. And the Taltos. Interesting creatures.

How smart of her to link both stories together. It started in Merrick. The first mention of the Mayfair witches. Merrick Mayfair. Coloured Mayfair witch from the other side of town. Coloured Mayfairs share the same family name, yet they are different and distant from the White, upper class, wealthy Mayfairs.

Another book I've been wanting to read is 'Eat, shoot and leaves' (can't remember if I got the title right). Some book about punctuation mistakes people make, I think. Seemed like a funny book. Saw the book in Borders in Brissie, saw it again in the bookshop at the airport and once more in Borders in town. Is that a sign?

Hmm having a headache. Need some aromatherapy and sleep. Ooh medal ceremony. Gold for Petria Thomas! 100m Butterfly women. Aussie aussie aussie! Oi oi oi! haha Lame.

For once Mediacorp didn't cut the medal ceremony!

7:10 pm - Music. Can't live without it!
My bro is obsessed with LMF! I'm amused. Pretty amused. Doesn't he get sick of listening to that cd over and over again. The conclusion I reach after observing him for 3 days, is that he has got NOTHING else to listen to! heh.

He's gotten sick of Joss Stone (The first cd I bought since my return to hot hot hot sg).

Maybe I should go buy Keane. At least I can listen to that since he's bound to steal my cd and is always blasting music!

He hates Shannon Noll. Nice o'him d/led the songs for me. At least I'm not so deprived of Aussie music. Made him d/l Starsailor and he's hooked on to 'Four to the floor'. Listened to their cd at Borders. Pretty boring. Four to the floor's the only nice song. He d/led Spiderbait's black betty for me. Liked it too. Hmm our taste in music is pretty the same 'cept I crinch at his choice of trance, dance, euro, house and progressive. Too noisy for old old me. Hmm I think I hear four to the floor coming from his room. Finally! He's stopped playing the LMF cd!

I've not listened to local radio at all. Wonder what stations are worth listening to now. Strangely, I listen to chinese stations online when I was in Brissie but now, I'm craving for English songs. Kinda miss B105. Went to their webby to see if they offer online radio but nope! Haizzz they are too low-tech!

Ladies and gentlemen, any nice cds to recommend? I listen to anything and everything that is not too noisy and loud. Pop, rock, alternative, jazz, new age, classical etc etc I don't mind. Not dance, trance, techno, house, progressive......u get the idea. English, chinese, cantonese, japanese, korean etc is good too.

3:03 pm - Athens 2004
Was staying up to watch the opening ceremony last night. Got very irritated half-way thru the march-in of the athletes coz Mediacorp 5 kept going into commerical breaks every few minutes. Fell asleep after watching the Germans march in. They have quite a number of cute athletes hehee. Saw the Aussies too but didn't see any of the swimmers. Wanted to see the S'porean athletes but I was too tired. I guess I'll watch the repeat later. Mediacorp sucks! Such a sucky telecast of the ceremony! Why don't they show it on cable tv? At least (maybe) there won't be any commerical breaks!

Yay time to watch the swimming events! Finally!

2:54 pm - Weird........
Is there a prob with my journal's calendar or is there something wrong with Blurty? It's 15 Aug alright but it's a Saturday not Sunday right? Or is there something wrong with me? Did I lose track of the day and date? Can I change it to the correct day?

I actually thought that it's Friday today when I was talking to my mum yesterday. And when I meant to say Saturday, I said Sunday instead. This happened not once but a few times. Hmmm.....is my body clock screwed or I'm just too tired?

10:45 pm - Broke broke broke!
I'm so damn broke! I've been going out for the past 2 wks. Been spending $$$. I love shopping! But the clothes sizes here are sooooooooooooooooo damn small! They are for antz man! Why are Sg girls so skinny? They are so thin.......pencil thin....antz.....stick insects! There's NOT an INCH of fat on them! They're all skin and bones!!! Man! What's the world becoming?! All I see around me are antz, even the celebrities. They are so thin. Maybe that's where the girls got the idea of being "slim". I see lots of ads for slimming products too. I've always been skeptical about these products. Do they really work? Or are they just gimicks? Just things to lure fat-conscious women into buying.

I'm so damn fat! I desperately need to lose weight. I mean I've lost weight but apparently it's not enough! I can't fit into clothes here! I can only fit into clothes that have size 14s and 16s! Oh man I'm so damn fat! Blah! But well at least I'm finding some pretty nice brands with my sizes here. I'm a new fan of Zara and Dorothy Perkins merchandise! haha Love their tops and suits! Tried this DP jeans. Ooooh so comforty and fitting on me! Amazing! heehee I thought I can only find such nice jeans in Aus. Maybe it's the European design thing.

Anyway, here I am complaining I'm fat but I'm too lazy to go do something about it. I don't have the motivation to go jogging, especially alone. I like to have company. Such a pity that Miss K and I live too far apart from each other. She lives in the East and me in the West. If not we can meet each other up and motivate each other to lose weight. She was asking me to move to the East. Not a bad idea coz they've got much nicer food in the East (and I wanna lose weight! haha). Just the other day, we went to check out the fitness programmes with a couple of gyms in Central. They all seemed very interesting but too ex. We're too poor to afford a gym membership. Both of us decide that we'll sign up for a membership when we get ourselves a job. Hope that works out. I'm genuinely interested in getting into shape not just for aesthetic reasons but for health reasons as well. I don't wanna die young. I don't wanna die of a heart attack or something!

I think I seriously procrastinate too much. Why?! Why am I like this?! Why why why? hmm....better stop procrstinating now. I feel too sticky and dirty now! Been telling myself I should go take a shower but.....

I miss Brissie! Miss the weather, the people, the public transport, the music, the beaches, my friends there, the shopping, the clothes, the not very slim ang moh girls (who make me feel not so fat heehee).......people in sg are so not very civilised! My room is so crammed. The neighbours are so kaypoh! One thing I'm happy about Sg is da food! YAY finally I get to eat all the stuff that I craved for when I was in Aus. My bro just commented that I put on weight! Boohoo....bleah!

5:31 pm - Dusty room!
Been trying to get my room back into a more liveable area for the past few hours. It's so dusty! Filled with mostly my bro's art pieces, his worthless CPU and other smaller things like plasters and I have no idea what?!

My wardrobe is soooooooo dirty and dusty! I have't realised before, I have lots of clothes. Clothes I wear at home only, clothes for going out, old school uniform and my GG uniform. Seems like a waste to throw them all out but they're taking up so much space. Space has to be made for my newer clothes and other stuff!

Beginning to miss my old room in campbell st! Got tons more space in there. Muz try to get rid of some of the useless furniture and appliances in the room so that I can put my beanbag when it arrives!

So much to do but I'm feeling so lazy! Mum's been bugging me to get things done asap coz she does want the luggages to lie around in the living room. I keep complaining about the stuff they threw in my room. Her reply was that I shoudl clear my stuff first before we clear those. But how to???!!! No space to even lay things aound so that I can clear the rest! Arggggh! wtf! How nice if I can do magic. With a flick of the wand, everything disappears and gets organised! Guess what i've been reading?! haha nvm.

current mood: Sneezy & itchy
