Maybe not the most interesting of things to be posting up an entry about and someone has most likely seen it before but what the hey I haven't posted up in here for a very long time. Flicking through the few music channels we have left, the Sky Digital is not working as it should and now not getting most of the channels anymore, late last night and finally I finally ran across Evanescnce's video for My Immortal. After hearing the orginal verison on Fallen I wondered as to what the video for this song would be like. The song is still beautiful with most of it remaining the same as on the album and so is the video itself, plus check it out - Ben Moody in a suit! But now I have bored you all to death or left you wondering, why is he bother I wrap this entry. |

Children. I have news. I have been repayed. Yes. I met Rocky, Will And John...or as Gaz and I have taken to calling them, hot, hotter and hottttt. (there are varying degrees you see) SO, here's the story from start to finish. We'd been debating as to whether or not we should even BOTHER going downtown to Webster Hall because we neither had tickets, nor guarentees that we would even get looked at by anybody who might help out in anyway. But, because it was an adventure and a nice day, we went. We took the four train down to Union Square, and then hiked over to Webster Hall. I took pictures of the trucks (nintendo fusion tour bus, their lighting and sound truck etc) then we walked to 3rd ave and begain the lament. I wrote a sign that said 'NEED TICKETS FOR TONIGHT!! MUST SEE EVANESCENCE' and because I Was standing outside of their bus, '+ COLD.' Their guitarist (who is WICKED tall in person, was walking by and looking menacing...then the sign brought pity to his face. He was nice) SO, I colored it in and hahahahahahaha died of laughter. So, we stood outside Evanescence's bus (sans knowing it was, since they change buses and hide members and go to other bands buses, ETC, and met this girl (forgive me, I dunt remember your name,) she was nice and was asking if we had tickets for the show, we didn't so she kinda hung out with us. So now Gaz, me and this girl (Her name was F something...I'll call her F) stand outside of the lowes theater and plot what to do. IT is new york after freaking all, so we head over to St. Marks Place, and walk the alley towards 2nd ave. Along the way, we bump into particularly hot black goth lolita types. They asked about our shirts (me and gaz'. f had amy's hugs for thugs tank) and we told them about the lack of tickets etc, they really dug our shirts. Then, she saw some of her friends, said bye to us and ran off to meet her goth buddies. I really wanted to take her picture since she was very pretty, but I thought it was creepy. As we walked, we giggleed about alot of things and headed into a shirt joint, listened to krock then got bored and left. and who did we see crossing the street with a PA towards us? Will. My eyes went wide and I nudged Gaz. My better judgement says not to bother him, but we were on a mission and we did. He noticed us staring at him and I blurted out 'Will' and he turned red. Gaz then blurted out, 'can I have a hug' We assumed that he thought we were going to ask about amy and ben...and then he said YES. He lit up and smiled. I asked if we could have a picture with him, well, if GAZ could have proof of her close encounter of the will kind. He smiled, posed and we thanked him gratuitously. He went up towards 3rd Ave in st. marks and giggling, gaz, f and me went up 2nd, figuring that if anyone was going to walking this way, the rest of the band would be. We marched back towards 11th street, bouncy. What luck we had meeting will, who gaz had her heart set on meeting in the first place? So, we chanced it and walked back. As we loitered outside on our little corner, gaz f and I thought about what to do next. A bunch of scalpers came lurking by us, asking if we needed tickets. I said yes. Then, they wanted 75 a piece. Do I look like I'm rich? So, I turned them down, then he wanted to know what I would pay. so I told him they were going for 32.50. He got pissed. Offered fifty, he didnt want to sell them at face value. So I bluffed and said that if I didnt get anything, i'll see. They were fake, you could tell, I saw them and compared them to the REAL tickets. (later on, a couple would buy them for $75 and not get in)SO, we we hung out by the corner (wh security scared off the scalpers who came back later) a gay guy named will (his earring told us everything) just bought the cd ::grimace:: and was excited to see some people outside who didnt have tickets and were on a journey. So, will tagged along with me, f and gaz. We stood behind evanescences bus, debating alot of things. When Gaz's eyes go wide (shed been talking about leaving) she saw rocky, lumbering across the street with John and one of their soundcrew towards taco bell (where me and gaz had seen the guitarist from cold. forgive me but I cant remember his name either. He was pretty cool too. smiled at us ) I crossed the street (very stalker like, I know) with Gaz and F and Will in tow. Sure enough, it was Rocky (the tattoo gave him away and I <3 gaz for spotting it) and John (wicked tall) We walked into the bell, and played it cool. I stood behind John, who was holding a diet pepsi. He turned around and Gaz and I smiled and said hi. He lit up (he saw our shirts) and I said 'can I ask you a stupid question?' he said 'sure' 'Can I have a hug and a picture?' 'Sure' so we had our hug and our picture. He smelled really nice, and was very very very very very sweet. "you guys going to the show?" 'no' "SUUUUUCK-Y. Sorry I can't help you out" 'No no, its ok, just meeting you is good enough' He blushed and we thanked him and I approched Rocky. He smiled and we said hi. I asked him for a hug and a picture and me and Gaz got our hug and picture. He's got a TIGHT back maaan!! We thanked him and told them to enjoy their authentic mexican food and rocky giggled and said 'you know it!' SO, bouncy and giddy, Gaz and I left hte bell bouncy. But will and f in their infinite (and newbie fandom) ran back in and wanted autographs. I went back because I was thirsty and got a soda (which I split with gaz.) I walked in and saw rocky chowin in burrito (authentic in deed) and held up my hands and said 'I"m not stalkin you doode' he smiled and kept chowing. I got my soda and placed my cup on John's table, opening my staw. And we talked. "Can I ask you a dumb question?" 'another dumb question?' "I'm a dumb child, I have alot of dumb questions" He giggled and said 'sure' "what gear are you using?" 'gear?' "yeah, guitars and what not..." 'oh, im using line seven...' "cool. did you get a new guitar?" 'yeah. how do you know?' "I research guitars. I'm a music fan...How's the tour going?" **silent** "Its going?" 'yeah, I mean its a job...' "its a pretty good job. better than mine, I'm a paper shlepper" he laughed and goes 'yeah, its pretty alright then.' so I said "thanks alot of the info, and answering my stupid question. have a great show. " I waved to Rocky who was on his next burrito and told him have a great show and rest of the tour and I'd see them around. So I then went back out with my soda and me and gaz bounced around. We hung out a little while longer on our corner while will and f went BACK inside for autographs (neither of them knew who the hell it was we had been speaking to....shhhh) Gaz and I were glad to have met Will, John and Rocky (in that order). Gaz and I bounce around outside, sipping pepsi and talking about the day. As we loitered at our corner, Will, with the PA, walked into the taco bell. (f and will went back in for HIS autograph) while me and Gaz talked outside. Soon, Rocky and John walked out of the bell and went to Cold's bus, met up with the band and walked over to st. marks. Will came out of the bell, sipping a sodie pop and saw me and Gaz and SMILED and waved before going back into the tour bus. Then, we crossed back to the opposite corner (after having a strange coversation with a guy whos in aa with dave gahan from depeche mode)to discuss what we should do now. Only to see Ben. Smoking. outside of their bus. Gaz chances a wave and, brace yourselves true believers, Ben doesn't respond. INFACT, security gets in our line of vision. our hopes of a hug or a smile or something is gone. He's kinda...standoffish and smoking. We look around for Amy but nothing. It doesnt matter. We got who we wanted. After trading email with f, Gaz and I head off on 3rd ave and to virgin. We saw this girl, POORLY gothed out and almost died. Those are the kids who are in our seats now, watching our band. I wonder if they'll remember us, who knows. Most likely, not. Hopefully, IMX will have happy things for us. Maybe another recongizing???? Not that they EVER read these things, and lets face it, who has time? But, I want to say thanks to Will, John and Rocky, your fans do love you. You guys made my day. |
