    Nightlife In New york city
New York is getting bigger and the nightlife is aimed to please the tourists, but there are still plenty of nightlife for the locals and travelers. HUB of the Jazz world is what NYC is called since that is where a lot of greats made their names and if you are just starting out this is where to go. There are some of the best and exclusive dance clubs in the world. There are a lot of lounges so there are plenty of places in New York for you to find a nice comfy place to sit, drink, and listen to music. No matter your age you will find somewhere to party in NYC, every year there are hundreds of concerts held by famous musicians and countless comedy clubs full of well known comedians making your night an entertaining one.

Ace of Clubs was a nightclub recommended to us by New Yorkers, so after a £35 cab ride we found ourselves at its doors. When we walked in the door things just didn't seem our style. The music was really loud and the drinks cost a lot, although I'm sure many people would love it for a big night out. We headed back to the hotel to research a better club to go to.

Asking for help at the front desk we were told to take a look at 'ploose', which turned out to be a NYC nightclubs directory. When we typed in New York City nightclubs and it showed us a bunch on the map. So we picked the closest one that said it had drink specials going on, since we had spent so much on cabs already, we went down and cabbed over to it. We watched a couple of videos tours so we knew what to expect and when we got there it was exactly like they showed on ploose. When we got there we got us a table ordered a bottle of grey goose and had a great time. "The Pink Elephant was the name of the nightclub. After an eventful night we went back to the hotel to sleep.

Saturday daytime was spent doing touristy stuff such as checking out 5th avenue, touring Manhattan and eating in a few restaurants that we chose at random, by the time the evening came we didn't have enough steam left for a big night. Thanks to our busy day (and heavy night before) we opted for something a bit calmer that night, we looked on 'ploose' again and found a chilled lounge near our hotel to go to. It was called the Sapphire Lounge. It was nicely decorated in a traditional way, it kind of felt like you were having a get-together in your own front room. It even had gorgeous red curtains to help create the mood. It wasn't too expensive and the DJ was spinning some great house music. We highly recommend it.

The next day was Sunday and our last day in New York, there was a big game on so we thought we would start the night at a sports bar, we checked ploose to find one to go to. The closest one that looked best to us was called 'Proof NYC' so we gave it a shot, it turned out to be a great decision. The TV was wonderful, it was so big the game looked great on it, it was taller than me and I'm not short. The bar itself was nicely decorated with comfortable hardwood floors and a gorgeous scarlet color on the walls. With beer specials in abundance you can imagine we had a good time. The food there was tasty as well, all in all it was a nice way to enjoy the match on our last day in NYC.

Before we left town for good we had time to stop by a jazz bar called the "Blue Note". As a big fan of Jazz I can say I was hugely impressed, it's the best Jazz bar I have ever been in and if you also like Jazz then missing out on this place if you are ever in NYC is a criminal offense. It was at about half or more capacity but not too crowded, decorated beautifully and the featured musicians blew our minds!

As you can tell NYC has plenty of choice when it comes to nightlife and entertainment. When we go back to NYC we are going to check out the Opera and Broadway and will let you know the best.

Work hard, party harder, and get home safe.
