My thoughts come as happily and freely as the snowflakes falling outside of our hotel window before they weave their way into the blanket that covers the city. No matter what has happened in recent months, we are both happy today. My Marit Elisabeth Hanson and I. I don't think I've ever heard so beautiful, so musical a sound, as the sound of her name and mine interwined and made one. It seriously makes me burst with joy. The sound of her voice as she told me she would marry me is just as beautiful...and it will never fade from my memory. I love you, baby. We're getting married! Now it's time for everyone to say "I told you so.":) |

it always seemed too big to touch I can't remember how I found My way before she came around So, I'm 22. In some ways, nothing feels different at all. In other ways, everything has changed. She's with me. That makes everything beautiful. I'd never have thought I'd be this lucky. I'm here with her in New York now, after a small party the family threw at home. I can't wait to spend time with her, just the two of us. The idea of being able to hold her in the mornings, without having to steal away, is a lovely one. The idea of simply having a whole week to spend together is incredible. If only I could freeze this moment in time. Amazing how in a city so full of noise and people, you can feel so at peace. I tell everyone I smile just because I've got a city love And I can't remember life before her name |

Now we're living on Tulsa time again. I spend my days with Tay and Zac, working on the documentary and planning the months to come. Marit spends her time talking to record companies and making her plans for the months to come. But at the end of the day, we're together again. It seems somehow like it's always been that way. |

I guess I am finally at a point where everything is falling into place. It's funny how things can turn around so quickly. The album is finished, and I feel, as near perfect as it can be. We're about to start doing some shows again in the next few months. And the best and most important part...Marit is with me. I'm a lucky guy. I can't believe my luck, honestly. It seems that everything I have been waiting two years for is finally happening. We're just having the best time together--I love her so much. She was worth every second of the wait. In fact, that isn't even a question. |

Today, I picked up Marit from the airport. She's brave enough to stay with us Hansons for a while, while she's in the States to check out recording studios, and things of that nature. She just looked...well, it was really great to see her. Really great. The whole family is looking forward to having her with us once more. Off to make sure Zoe doesn't demand Marit play Barbies with her for another hour.;-) |
