The Top 5 Events to Catch this Summer in New York City
No matter what time of year, New York City is hot! That's because there are great events happening here all year long! This is an excellent forecast for New York City happenings since the city is packed with excitement for one and all. The only issue residents of New York and visitors to the city have is determining what is going on and which one to attend.

New York City has to be the most vibrant city in the world. All countries that are acknowledged by the United Nations have representatives in New York City. This makes it a veritable conglomeration of cultures, which means there are happenings going on at all times that appeal to all people. New York City has something for everyone! Many of the world class happenings are free of charge and open to the public! That's right, they are free. Some of these events are dancing classes in Prospect Park, outside movies at Bryant Park, art exhibits in Manhattan, and music in Central Park.

Personally, I have my own must-see list of New York City happenings that cannot be missed this summer. The first of the top five is to see Rent on Broadway in Bryant Park. Listen to the characters sing about living in the East Village. Number two on the list is Rooftop Films, an even more unique spin on films screened outdoors. There are an assortment of venues in Brooklyn where these can be found. SummerStage in Central Park is home of my third choice for summer events, as the trendiest performances in the city are showcased here each Sunday. The fourth is the New York Philharmonic, which will offer live concerts in each of the five boroughs. I caught their music in Central Park, which was fabulous. Of course, do not miss the US Tennis Open which is a must for all tennis fans!
