    NYC Nightlife
NYC continues to expand it's nightlife for tourists, however this doesn't mean that locals and travelers alike do not have a wealth of choice when it comes to entertainment at night. So many Jazz legends made their name in NYC that it is well known for it's high quality Jazz, people flock to NYC in order to play Jazz in the city where it is really kicking off. NYC isn't famous only for its Jazz, with countless nightclubs NYC contains some of the best in the world. If you want to go somewhere to find a nice comfortable place to sit and drink and listen to music, there are a lot of lounges and New York has plenty of places. If you want to spend the night laughing then you can head to one of the countless comedy clubs where famous comedians frequent the stages, or perhaps you could catch a show on Broadway or a concert from one of your favorite musicians.

We went on a friday night looking for a nightclub with a cool atmosphere and someone recommended Ace of Clubs Nightclub so we hopped in a cab and $40 later we arrived at Ace of Clubs. It did not seem to be what we were looking for. It was a little loud and the drinks were kind of pricey. We decided that we wanted to find something else so we went back to our hotel.

On the way into the hotel we asked the woman at the desk to recommend an nightclub and she told us to check ploose which I guess is some new NYC nightclubs directory that was super easy. All we had to do was enter our location (New York City) and were gifted with a list of possible nightclubs we could go to. Since we had spent so much on our first trip for a cab we decided that we would go to the closest one that was having specials on drinks. There were video tours on the 'ploose' site which we had watched before we made our mind up, and when we actually go to the club it was precisely as it had seemed on the tours. We started the night off with some 'grey goose' and ended up having a wonderful time. The nightclub was called 'The Pink Elephant' and I recommend you check it out if ever in NYC. After enjoying the night we went back to our hotel for and went to sleep.

We spent the next day doing touristy stuff, checking out 5th avenue, walking all around Manhattan, stopping at a couple restaurants randomly for lunch and by the time night rolled around we were exhausted. We checked ploose again since we were tired we felt like finding a low-key lounge and we found one nearby and decided that we would check it out The lounge bar is named 'Sapphire Lounge'. It had a really classic decor, kind of like a party in your living room. It had these really lovely red curtains that enhanced the atmosphere even more. It wasn't too expensive and the DJ was spinning some great house music. We highly recommend it.

It was Sunday and we wanted to find us a sports bar and watch some football, so we ploosed again. The closest one that looked best to us was called 'Proof NYC' so we gave it a shot, it turned out to be a great decision. The TV was 8 feet long, perfect for viewing the Football on. The bar had hardwood floors and scarlet walls. The beer were on sale that day so we lucked out. It was the final day of our little holiday so we took it easy, watched the game, eat some food and enjoyed our beers.

We still had time before we left town to stop at a jazz bar called the "Blue Note". It was one of the best jazz bars I've been to in the world and to any jazz fans, I recommend it highly. It was about half full but there was still plenty of room, it is decorated beautifully and the musicians were some of the best.

As you can see the entertainment on offer in NYC is impressive, you will certainly find something to enjoy. Our trip was only short so we didn't have time to sneak in a trip to Broadway or the Opera, although there is always next time!

Have a great time in NYC and stay safe.
