Bakasyon Grande/ Coming And Going [03 May 2006|10:22pm]
Can you imagine fetching $95.2 million for this?

Dora Maar with cat

Second most expensive painting sold - ever.
Picasso (1881-1973) must have been a genius, or a fool with a brush with a copious amount of luck.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

I've been on vacation since Thursday last week.
6 unadulterated days of pure R&R.
This is the life.

Oh yeah, and its paid.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Goodbye, Candy. You will always have a special place in my heart. Our days in the office are memories worth keeping.

Goodluck in Dubai. May you find an oasis in the fair sands of the desert.

I will miss you a lot. And you better keep in touch.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Candy had her despedida last Sunday. It was so much fun. The (almost) entire cast of my officemates were there.

When we were heading out to Candy's place in Cavite, my friend Ross decided to bring her Magic Sing just for kicks. When we got there, what do we see?

A videoke machine, rented out for the whole day.

It was a riot. Francis even managed to bang up one of the microphones.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Welcome to the world, Alexi Dominique Abalos.
My Bestfriend Forever, Cris just gave birth to a bouncing baby.

And lucky for baby Alexi because the goodfornothing father, what he lacks in the grey matter department, he more than makes up for it in the looks.

Amazingly, Alexi is such a beautiful child.

It is in my sincerest hopes that you take after your mother's intelligence.

Shit, I can see myself as your future stage godfather, egging you on in every contest that you'll be joining. :)

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

I'm back to work. Blech. hehe.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Oh and just in case you're curious as to what is the most expensive painting ever sold, its this:

Boy with a Pipe

Sold for $104.2 million.
5 freakin billion pesosesoses!

Guess who's the artist?

Yup. Picasso.

Damn.

A Night At PETA/ Zsa Zsa IS Love [26 Apr 2006|07:58pm]

We arrived at the PETA theater 2 hours earlier than the curtain call. Can you say excited? Hahah. Syempre bukana pa lang ng Theater laman na the whole rainbow of sexual orientations. Mga hetero, mga baklitas, mga pamhin, mga lesbis. The whole gamut. Alam mo na what to expect.

I've come across Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah over a year ago. Actually, it was a curiosity pa lang sa National Bookstore. Yeah it was, in a way. However, the twist is the stone fell in the manicured hands of Ada, ang baklitang probinsyana.

I didn't really know what to expect. Ian, however knew the story by heart. So kahit papano someone was able to fill me in.

Pasaway ako nung dumating kami sa theater. Pumasok na kami wala pang tao at all. haha. As in parang pang Vagina Monologues lang. Sort of like something for rampmodels. Shempre una kong tanong, how can they pull it off?

After the show I was so much in awe. Hindi mo mafi feel ang limitation ng stage, because these actors really know how to work it.

For those not familiar, Zsa zsa turns into a literal wonder WOMAN when he gulps down the magical stone (a humongous one, at that). And I was so much impressed with Eula Valdez. Its like I had a newfound devotion to her. Definitely an upcoming gay icon, if she isn't one yet. She's so alluring, so natural in her acting skills, so convincing and most importantly, she can literally sing her butt off. And take note, hindi basta basta ang boses niya.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

The PETA theater was abuzz with laughter throughout the entire performance. I don't want to spoil the surprises for those who are yet to see ze muzekal. It takes roughly 3 hours from beginning to end. And in that time, you'll be regalled by topnotch Filipino performances. Watch out for Didi. She steals the show sometimes. Watch out for Wilma Doesnt. So funny. For Dodong's nipples, for the baklang zombies, the Ate Vi, Ate Shawi, Ate Nora, Ate Dina subordinates, For Maru and her interminable British accent. And definitely watch out for Eula.

If theres anything I can fault Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah ze Musekal is the fact that -although the melody and the words are very upbeat, poignant and uberly gay - the songs doesn't leave you with that "stuck in your head" feeling after the show. I didn't get the or the "I Dream A Dream ala Les Mis", the "All I Ask Of You ala P.O.T.O. or"Seasons of Love ala Rent" feeling. You know, the "I'm still humming it a few days later" vibe.

That or maybe I should see it again, or buy the soundtrack. Whichever comes first. :)

Nevertheless, its so much fun.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Take it from me. Promise, masakit sa damdamin. Pero kinakailangan ko ng token shot with her. hehe.

Mahal ko na siya.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

What are you waiting for? There are still 3 or 4 performances left! Hurry. Click on the banner above. Don't miss this.

And bob, thanks for giving me this night. ;)

Holy Weak? [16 Apr 2006|08:56pm]
The Lenten Season just passed me by. Can you imagine I have to go to work last Thursday and Friday? Oh well, I'm not complaining for they paid me double for each day. (Wahoo)

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Happy Easter everyone! Speaking of new leases on life:

Doesn't she look lovely? You go, girl!
(And I love her and her music WAY better than "Momma Popstar's")

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Last Friday, I had a "slumber" party with the girls. Miss diva of all diva gays Ron "Beronce" Knowles-Lopez invited us to his posh Paseo Park View Condo for a night of utter faggotry. hehe. It was so much fun. I brought a ton of DVDs, diva CDs, my PSP and my PS2. Lemme just sum it up in 4 words: it was a blast!

Ron, who just arrived from the land of milk and honey (specifically, New York!) was such a fabulous host-ess. Eventhough we hit a few snags before the party (ie, Pau backed out because he had to stick with his Val - rolls eyes-.)

We gorged on a ton of pizza and ice cream, made chika till the morning light, and was supposed to have a night swim that turned into a day affair. hehe. hay panalo talaga.

Nakakatuwa kasi, if you don't know her, este him you'd be running for your life if you happen to cross him. There was this one point in the night when they were playing, uhm, dress up when he asked us if by wearing violet he looks like a grapefruit. Ang lokang Junville humirit ba naman, "Oh honey no. You look more like a huge plum!" Omg, ang lolah mo nanlisik ang mata at nagbungangaan sila to the highest heavens. Di ko kinaya. Hahah.

Alam mo yung kasabihan na you meet people for a reason. Here I made a friend who's way of thinking is a huge 180 degrees from mine. People who grew up in the States have this overpowering level of assertiveness and self-confidence, that if you're really weak of heart, baka isuka mo na siya. Pero at the same time, he's very inspiring. He grew up in his community as the only plus sized (as he wants to be labeled) Asian boy...who happens to be as gay as the Queen of Fairytopia.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Guess what?

Not once...

Not twice....

BUT for the Third-freakin-time!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw RENT (again would be an understatement) ahahahahha.

Stereotyping Pinoys / Summer Time [06 Apr 2006|05:25pm]
So, I was just surfing a while ago, you know the usual stuff online. And like the majority of people in the queendom of the Philippines, my first page goes to Yahoo.com. And guess what?

We're still brown monkeys to them. Whoopeedo. I didn't see that coming. [/end sarcasm].

Yeah yeah, maybe I'm reading in between the lines a little bit too much, but whatever.

Shame on you, Yahoo.

Oh and to rub salt to the injury, them smart 'uns at Yahoo thought of coming up with a game. I'll give you one good guess what's it about.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Food Tip:
If you're hungry and have a wee bit of money to splurge with, haul your fat (or skinny) ass over to FUZION. I know theres one in every mall, but go try the one in Greenbelt 3. Its Fab, Fab, Fab. They have this lounge area with huge chaise sofas. I had a light yet hearty meal with Miss Ronald (hahah, the uber diva) last Wednesday. Their food is scrumptious and the smoothies are divine, albeit a bit pricy.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Its summer already and I still don't have any concrete plans on where to go. I initially wanted to go back to Boracay on the last week of April, however everyone I know backed out at the last minute. I could do it commando mode again however, I don't think I'm feeling the vibe.

Then there's Roan who invited me to go to Cagayan de Oro (hello Camiguin!!). New place for me. Sounds interesting.

Hay. Basta, I need a break.

Have 525, 600 Minutes To Spare? [02 Apr 2006|06:21pm]

I love, love, LOVE this film.

I know, its got a ton of divided reviews. But most of the dissing comes from the diehard critiques of the musical. I haven't seen it on Broadway, of course (I only have the DVD) but after seeing this adaptation, can you say: New York, here I come? hehe.

Well, in its core, its a barebones story that was a little bit ahead of its time. Nowadays, AIDS-themed films are but commonplace, but when this show was first shown on stage, it broke taboos.

Its Bohemian life and struggles less the glamourized look of Moulin Rouge. And its set in post modern 1989 in the seedy part of Manhattan.

Tom (er..) Collins , Angel, Mimi, Roger, Joanne, Maurice, Mark

Funny thing, I was SUCH a fanboy, that I was singing along in the audience every single time! And this guy beside me, who was so obviously a fag was trying so hard to restrain himself from breaking out into a song and he was looking at me like I'm the queenest of the queens. I don't care. Let him stay in his closet. I'm having fun. hahaha.

I just love the simplicity of the songs. Its nothing fancy, nor pretentious. And the melody was just so catchy. I'm more of the Les Mis, orchestra musical type, but I love the urban rock theme of the songs. It was such a welcome change.

My friend Paulo wanted to see Ice Age 2 last Saturday. Hell no, I wouldn't pay P160 just to see a 1 hour CGI that I could see for free on HBO a few months down the line. So Ian and I scurried away and saw this instead. Sorry Pau! hehe.

Rent = love. Go see.

Oh and for haters, eat me. hehe.

And The Storm Subsides [20 Mar 2006|11:26pm]

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Last Saturday was fun.

Moi, Ian, Paulo, Junville, Edward.

Paulo's cousin from New York wanted us to tour him around the Metro.

Lemme just say...nakaka nosebleed siya. Iba talaga ang New Yorker accent at ang bilis niya magsalita. Siyempre nasubok ang vocabulary ko. ahahha.

Although, I have no problems with the accent (getting used to it after 48 bajillion years of working in my company, doh), Ronald was this walking, talking Pinoy slash Black woman. As in ala Queen Latifah with matching z-snaps ang bruha. Sobrang kaka aliw at kaka loka.

A very interesting character, this Ronald is. He works for MAC in the States during the days and he has band gigs during the weeknights. Cool no? Ganun daw kasi nakukuha niyang sweldo. hehe.

Ito pa. Ronald is as camp as camp can be. When he performs with his band (he's the lead singer) parang ibang nilalang ang lumalabas na boses. Pano ba naman kasi, (I've heard him sing) nakaka kilig kalamnan ang boses niya. As in soulful negro voice talaga. They got offers from major recording firms in the States, kaya lang they were asking him to, ahem, act more straight. Ang sagot ng dyosa:

"What's up with that? I'll be whatever I want to be. I'll convince people that I'm straight, if you convince them I'm white."

Taray no? hehehe.

We went to our favorite dining place: Seaside. As usual, panalo talaga dito. We even met up with the rest of the D.R. team from the office. Andun din si Al (my blog mate and friend since the age of the dinosaurs from Livejournal). Chikahan galore, lamunan galore. hehe.

After which Ron told us that he heard of Malate through the grapevine. Edi siyempre sugod kami dun. Nag Rainbow Project kami at naglaklakan till we were knocked silly. After which, takbo sa Synder. Funny pa nga kasi wala nang bakanteng VIP room. So ang ginawa ni yours truly, I knocked on this room with only 2 guys in it. In fernez ang laki ng nakuha nila so I thought theres no harm naman in sharing the room with us diba? ahahaha. Ang kapal talaga ng mukah, I know.

At siyempre si Ron, banggag banggag na, huge frame and all (he's 5'11 and, uhm, big boned) went in, all diva like! ahahahaha.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

The day after, I am still nursing my nosebleed. ahahah. choz.

Pero in furnez ha. The accent rubbed off on me.

The next day I got a text from Ron,

"Dahling, I've been invited to a party by one of those local celebrities. Geneva Cruz is the name. Do you know her? I met her at work. She says its in Quezon City. God, I don't even know how to get to Glorietta!" (his posh condo is a few streets down Greenbelt 3. hehe)

to be continued...

When Worlds Collide [14 Mar 2006|12:23am]
Alas, I asked for it.

Turmoil and drama happening in the homefront.

My mom and my grandmother on a war of nerves (and words). This might just lead to an eviction...and it won't be pretty. Shit, even I'm getting stressed out.

Mom only wants to be happy but still my philandering father gets the grandma's blind approval (it figures, he's her son). God, I feel morose for my mom.

Will leave blogging for a while till gets resolved.

Wish me well, bloggy baby.

And to keep this interesting, I made a Nohari (the inverse). Okrayin niyo na ko. Ibuhos na lahat ng galit sakin. hehe.

At ang hindi sumagot, liliit ang boobs. Pag sinagutan mo to, bukas, magiincrease ang cup size mo.

So there.

Its Raining Babes! [07 Mar 2006|12:21am]
March 4, Sabaday, rest day na naman.

I had the chance to go out with my very pregnant(although, hindi halata) bestfriend, Cris. She's 7 months into the ultimate labor, and yet she's as fresh and as pretty as a dandelion.

O sige na, virginal. (sabi mo e. heheheh)

Andaming mothers and fathers -to be. Dumating kami 1pm, and took a number: 36. Guess what number pa lang ang being serviced? Tumataginting na #19. Mahaba habang inuman to.

Every woman in the clinic gave Cris an envious glance. Meron pa nga nagsabi, "miss alam niyo yang anak niyo babae, kasi ang ganda ganda niyo." another one quipped: "pag naka talikod kayo, parang di ka buntis, ang sexy mo pa rin e."

Syempre. Ang ganda ata ng Bes ko. Model yan dati e. Standing a full 5 feet 7 inches without shoes, she towers over most ladies. At ang bone structure sa mukha ha. She's very hard to miss. At may kasabihan nga: Birds of the same feather...

..Are birds.

Hahahahah. I love you, bes!

Chickahan galore, at meron pang camwhore sessions (mawawala pa ba yun?)

Nakapag lunch na kami at na play na ng sandosenang mp3 (c/o my sexy little PSP), #25 pa lang. So mega nagtodo todo kaming heart to heart.

I'm glad we can do that again, sis. :)

Dumating kami dun 1pm, natawag kami for her turn 6pm. Ang saya saya no?

As in wala siyang pores sa pagkaflawless. hehe. At nakakatuwa siya because after dozens of clients, blooming pa rin ang bruha at napaka perky. And guess what?

She's pregnant too.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Ang doctora, ang lakas rumaket.
Isang consultation niya (which lasts 1hour at most, 5 minutes the shortest) is 500 peysos.

Now, nung araw na yun naka 45 clients siya.

Do the math. Tiba tibang peysosesoses! (at isang araw lang yun ha!)

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Anyways, after a pleasant consulation, I decided to bring Cris to someplace we've never been to before. Syempre dapat malapit lang sa Makati.

Sugod Market! Market!

So ayun. I really want to like Market!

Namili ng abubot here and there.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Nag pig out na naman ako (what's new?). Pero at least this time kasama ko ang kakambal ko sa lamunan na tila hindi tinatablan ng pagtaba.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Night came. We headed home. Slumber party sa bahay ng mga A-a--s (last name witheld due to insistent request). The last time we had this was over 6 months ago.

Potek, namiss ko to!

It's very rare for us to find people who we can bare our true souls to.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Newlyweds. Dala din ang baby nila.
I love kids. Whoops, lemme clarify that: I love Babies, I do however, abhor kids in their toddler years. Toddlers are monsters while on the other hand, babies are miracles. They can make bumbling fools of everyone, especially when everyone uses their "babyspeak" voice.

Bakit ganun? Napapalibutan ako ng sandamakmak na baby? Anong gusto nitong ipahiwatig?

I definitely want a baby of my own. Yes, from my own loins. Not necessarily including the act of procreation. Basta. Will I be a good father? I know I will. Bakit naisipan ko naman ito? Ewan ko ba.

Misplaced Ideals [28 Feb 2006|10:49pm]
Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Stop it!
Bickering, conspiring, destabilizing...

What have we been hearing on the news over the past few days?
Nothing but utter rubbish.

Hindi lang identity wala ang bansang ito.
Direction.

Lahat ng nasa kapangyarihan, naghihilahan.
Dito, doon, dito, doon.

Tayo naman, nagpapahila.

God give us a gigantic remote controller that, like shutting off the TV when there is nothing good to watch, can shut up the monkeys running the cogs of society.

Whether the highest official in the land still has moral ascendancy to lead the people is no longer the question.

They should ask themselves, if they proceed with their plans: who will they crown as the successor? Will he/she be any better? Will he/she be as clean a slate as they would want us to believe?

A great man once said: "Let the one with no fault, cast the first stone."
I don't see any stones a-flying.

But these questions are but second string to this most important one:
Will this country move forward?

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Make Me Over [23 Feb 2006|12:39am]

I'm feeling a bit creative. As always, Aya Kato's art keeps me enthralled. Here's my take on her creations.

It pisses me off every time I get one of those asinine chain text messages. Complete with dire treaths to your life, your mom's, or heck even your pet's life if you "break" the chain.

Last night I was about to doze off when one of these random texters from G4M (its like Friendster, only devoid of the female kind) sent me something to this effect:

c0ncernd lng ak0!
"shinina akafai aeknog!"
dats an old african curse
pag hndi mo finorward to
sa 5 tao malibn sakn w/in
1 hr, ma3tay mothr mo.
d0nt break d chain.
tot00 to. may namtay na!

duh.
My response?

If I were in the mood
I would have told to you
to Fuck Off, but I'm
feeling mighty generous today.
You better not send me anything
as ridiculous as this ever
again. Or else.
People dying because
of a curse thru SMS?
How idiotic.
Tell you what, lets try this:
"I will grow more brain cells".
Help spread intelligence! Pass
this to the one who sent you the
chain text. Totoo to! Gumagana!

Syempre, I didn't care if it cost me more than a peso. If it helps solve idiocy, then why not? I found his text highly tasteless, especially in light of recent events (sumalangit nawa, Cliff), it caught me at an awkward time. At idamay ba ang pinakamamahal kong ina?

Speaking of make overs, we're doing one for the house.

As in extreme makeover. I have lots of plans for it. Ako pa.

Pray:

This country is bleeding dry.

Amidst drastic efforts, everything after 48 hours seems in vain.

The mud is now excreting blood, not water according to a rescuer.

god, deliver us from all of this.

Go See:

I saw Brokeback Mountain last Saturday with Ian.
So cute. Greenbelt 3 was actually filled with guy couples.
Not cute. I really can't connect with the movie.
Ang Lee is as gay as a wisteria yet
Its like seeing a lumberjack do bellydancing.
Rigid. Playing it safe on the account of the heterosexual audience.
I guess that's what you get when you expect so much of something.
Still, its a gem.
Go.

Taken Away Too Soon [15 Feb 2006|04:58pm]

In Memoriam

Valentines came and went. A red letter day that had a different meaning to us working in Pe0pl3 Supp0rt. One of our colleagues died. Murdered.

Cliff. Its ironic that only now that I know that that is your name. The many months that we've been working together...

He is...was a Peer trainer in the other account. I've seen glimpses of him every once in a while. He's very hard to miss. Or rather yet, its hard to not give him a second glance.

The first time I saw you was over a year ago, back when we were still located in Phil Am building. Remember me? I was that boy who made puppy dog eyes to you. The first time I saw you, I lost the word I was about to say to a customer. You looked real good, with your hair slicked back so neatly and your get up that begged to be respected. I used to call you Yellow 4. You know why? All the instances that I saw you come up to our floor, you were wearing the same plaid polo (which is of course colored yellow, duh).

Cliff was an office heartthrob. Que babae, que lalake. He seems oblivious to this fact, which makes him all the more "crushable" to the lot. Admittedly, I went thru a phase. But I got over that several moons ago when I found out he has a girlfriend. I don't do straight guys. :)

I have to tell you this: I secretly wished you were gay. hehe. I even told some of my closest confidants that you were. I'm sorry.

I didn't intend this to be a eulogy, but I just want to have this posted for posterity.

Your death was extremely senseless. I pray that the perpetrator be put to justice.

Cliff, I hardly knew you. I wish I did. But as far as I can tell, you were a good son, a hardworking employee, a dedicated man, and a good person.

You added a dash of color to my days at work. For that,
I Thank you.

You will be missed.

Numbers and Tyra [12 Feb 2006|07:49pm]
This is fun. Sorry Rej, I just had to take this.

She did not put the instructions, however it seems elementary. Just from the top of your head, list down 20 people. No need to think hard and deep. Just list them down in the order that they come in your mind. Then, answer the questions below. Here's mine.

1 Criselda
2 Ian
3 Becky Paolo
4 Paulo Suello
5 Mama Roan
6 Juhn Juhn
7 Macky
8 Martin
9 Roxanne
10 Mama
11 Joyce
12 Jackie
13 Jayzee
14 Celia
15 PsPko
16 Junville
17 Miko
18 Yneshca
19 Iza Calzado
20 god

1. How did you meet 13? (Jayzee) At the office. He used to be from Feople Suffort* (take that online spiders!) but he moved on to Citibank. He's my loloh.

2. What would you do if you have never met 5? (Mama Roan) She's a very wonderful woman. My days in the office would be a lot less colorful.

3. What do you honestly think of 10? (My mom) Mama ko? Well, I'm everything she is, and vice versa. We're so much alike, its eerie.

4. Would or did 19 and 8 date? (Martin and Iza) Hahaha. Hindi pwede! First of, si Iza Calzado ay ang dyosa ko (crush ko siya. Tipong I'd go definitely straight if given a girl like that). And secondly, Buckley si Martin! Through and through! He wouldn't touch a girl with a 10-foot pole. heheheh

5. Did you ever like 4? "like" in the romantic sense? (Paulo) Dati I like him, coz he fits the mold of my type. Pero not in the romantic way ha! Pagtingin lang. And since we're like the best of friends now, it can't be any better.

6. Have you hooked up with anyone 1-20? #2 my bob. And I think, this may have been the very best thing I've done so far.

7. Would 2 and 11 make a good couple? (Joyce and Ian) No way. #2 is mine! hehehe. Sorry, Joyce!

8. Describe 7 in 3 words. (Macky) Sobrangfunny, sobrangmaitim, superfriendkosincewaywayback! ahahah.

9. Do you think 6 is hot? (aso ko) Oh my gaw! ahahha. Si Jhun Jhun? Ang sosyal na askal? ahahha. Definitely! He's sizzling hot!

10. would 1 and 16 make a lovely couple? (bex and JV) Criselda and Junville? oh, definitely. When pigs fly. hahaha. Junville wants bananas. :)

11. Tell me something humiliating about 16? (JV) He's the Hari/Reyna ng sablay. And just recently, JV, Pao and I had been held up - together. Now if that isn't humiliating, I don't know what is.

12. Do you know any of 3's family members? (Buckley Paolo) Good question. Actually, no. Well, I've heard about his older brother who was an ex-seminarian. Does that count?

13. Whats 20's favorite band? god? Its ME. And it plays angelically melodious on some dates and hellishly appalling on others. There are some meh days as well, but he always sticks around for the good ones.

14. On a scale of 1-10 how cute is 14? (celphone ko) Celia? She's a 9.6. However that rank fades over the months. Depreciation shit.. Pero definitely a 7610 is one of the cutest out right now.

15. What would you do if 15 just confessed his or her love to you? (Playstation Portable) I'd freak out, because inanimate objects can't profess love. Or maybe they can? (Psycho theme here)

16. What language does 19 speak? (Iza Calzado) Avisalla! Sheda! Pashneia! In short: Encantadian!

17.Who is 8 with? (Martin) Some beautiful boy I forgot the name of.

18. Does 9 get around? (sibling) Oh yes she does. My sister. From the same bark. 'nuff said.

19. Have 18 and 10 hooked up? (my mom and that dog) Hahah. This is getting funnieer and funnier. Of course not! He's Ian's dog!

20. How did you meet 15? (PSP) he arrived packed in a Balikbayan box. I asked for him from my Tita. Akala ko di siya kakagat e. Ayun, paguwi nila, spanking new electronics for yours truly.

21. When was the last time you talked to 12? (my girl, Jackie) Oh gawsh, like last century when men were still in camisa de chinos and ladies were in baro't saya!

22. What is 2's favorite band? (Ian) he has no favorite. Its all relative, he says. (or maybe a good answer to this would be me, on videoke night. hahaha)

23. Does 9 have any siblings? (Roxanne) Duh, diyosa kapatid niya. Ako. Choz. :)

24. Would you ever date 5? (Roan) No!!!!!!!!! Why? Kasi mamah ko siya sa office! hahaha.

25. Would you hook up with 13? (Jayzee) coincidentally, people had been asking us if we were ever together, coz it surely seems like it. But no. I'm not his type, he's not mine. But he's hot. :)

26. Is 11 single? (Joyce) Freshly.

27. What is 19's last name? (Amihan) Its not Calzado, malamang. I bet its something along the lines of Dimaano, Boborol, or something stinky.

28. Have you ever kissed 5? (Roan) Beso beso.

29. Would you ever want to be in a serious relationship with 3? (Paolo) haha. Ako ang official pimp niya, how can I have a relationship with him. On that note, he's 5'10, chinito, gwapo, muscular in all the right places and VERY available. Any takers?

30. How close are you to 18? (Yneshca) not at all. she, being a dog, who lives a hundred miles away and all.

31. What does 2 do for a living? (Ian) He's a supervisor in a callcenter in Makati, he's finishing up on his degree, and he's Derek's bobby.

32. Where does 17 live? (Miko) Ortigas? Pasig, I'm not sure. hehe.

33. Would you make out with 1? (Criselda) If I was drunk. Stranded on an island. Then drugged. Don't get me wrong, Criselda is definitely one hot package (beauty, brains, body to die for), but hey I don't swing that way. hehe. (I love you, bex!)

34. How close are 5 and 6? (Roan and my dog) Like the sun and moon.

35. Is 12 older than you? (Jackie) yes.

36. Is 5 the sexiest person alive? (Roan) Oh MAH GawD! hahahaha.

37. How do you feel about 20? my personal god. He has no edifices, no hallowed walls to live in; he has no dogmas, other than to live your life as you are; he has no prejudice towards me or my beliefs; he is everywhere, he is everything. And he gives me what I need..

38. Are 5 and 2 special to you? (Roan and Ian) Wow! Parang sinadya tong question na to dito? #5 is Roan, the most cheerful hot mama I've ever met and she takes care of us like we're her real children, so yes she's special to me. And #2 is Ian. If I put down into words how very special he is to me...

39. Who's hotter 20 or 12? (Jackie and _) Jackie. god is fluid.

40. Who do you love more 1 or 2? (Criselda and Ian) Sabi nga ni Rej: "that's not fair. i love them with equal intensity, but in different ways". Best friend or bobby? Parang tinanong mo na rin ako ano ang mas importante, water to drink or air to breathe.

This meme rocks!

Cable TV is love.

My current addiction:

I do find her episodes somewhat...campy - quirky- charming. A day ago, I saw one about America's Next Top Model, only with a twist. All "contestants" are transexuals. How cool is that? Take note, these ladies are so hot, they could run circles around most female models out there.

Oh andI love the fact that Tyra is so true to herself. Nang ookray siya pero in moderation naman (and she's got a wicked sense of humor too! There goes the 'all models are dim witted' theory out the door). Kala ko she has this uber diva attitude, wrong model pala iniisip ko (*ahem Naomi Campbell ahem*).

I'm looking forward to that next episode.

Grammy's, A.I. and Other Matters [09 Feb 2006|10:07pm]
Having a day shift is a god send. Aside from having a normal life (and the perks of the industry), I get to see all the primetime shows to my hearts content.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Grammy's 2006

Quite predictable.

It was funny watching Mariah sing, though. She's not that great anymore but it was an admirable effort. If she could just stop flailing her arms like a mad monkey on uppers then she'd be less annoying to watch. And in fairness, she didn't lip synch this time. Don't miss Terri Hatcher's sarcastic retort after Mariah's performance. Mad Mariah

Lola Madonna opened the show pero I'm really not digging the tanga look. Its like...seeing my mom gyrate in front of millions of people..in a skimpy piece of clothing..in her late 40's.. In short, its terrifying.

I was so pleased to see a live performance of one of my most favorite songs ever: One by U2. Mary J. Blige may not be a looker, but hey, she's very easy on the ears. I love her soulful voice.

My fave performance for the night was Kelly Clarkson's. I really felt her. see here

Kanye, btw, is hot.

Overall, I felt like this award giving body is not much different from what we have in the home turf. When somebody goes up on stage and the only reaction you can elicit is a WTF?, the only answer is...Its all in the politics. They spread the award around. Its like watching FAMAS or the Urian, only with caucasians and blacks and hispanics and whatnots in the audience (oh and one fabulous stage, of course).

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

Gulong ng Palad got my household hooked. Well, almost everyone at home except me and Junjun (the sosyal na askal). I really don't get whats to be fascinated about with this show. If there was any ideal flagbearer of the hodgepodge of all the cliches in Philippine drama (ie, rich boy loves poor girl but can't because it goes againsts his family's wish.. etc etc) this show would take the ball, drive it home and keep going 'til the credits roll.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

(walang kokontra!) ((now, I have to learn their names))

Pweh talaga tong taong uling na to. Maganda lang boses niyo pero lose the diva attitudes.

Nevertheless, this looks like a very promising Idol season.

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

What if, due to curiosity (and concern for the person), you make your research and upon looking it up in related literature, you stumble upon something proving that HIV/AIDS is a fictional disease and its one of the biggest conspiracies of the 20th century? What if it proves that AZT (the supposed inhibitor of the viral strain) as well as the cocktail of drugs were the real killer of the person who's taking it, not the "sickness"?

My views on this issue are undergoing a paradigm shift. The truth may be further from what we really thought it to be.

More on this in the following days...

-7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=7=8=-

My aunties from the U S of A had a despedida last night. They're going back to the land of milk and horny white men today. I'm slightly sad, yet at the same time, liberated. The thing is, they don't know I'm, uhm, you know...gay. So everytime they're around, it feels like they are expecting me to act in a specific kinda way. I know, I know. Nagpapakatotoo naman ako e. Yun nga lang I still have deep love and respect for their wishes. So ayun. Happy and sad.

Oh and chika ko lang. We ate at Singing Cooks and Waiters. Super kaka aliw ng nagperform. As the name implies, the same people who serve your food comes up to the stage and belt out a tune. In fernez, magaling sila ha. May magaling silang Buckley* na kasama sa ensemble. She, este, he has an amazing falsetto. Nag Regine - reginan ang buckley. With matching pasayaw sayaw pa. hahah. They perform to distract you from the fact that the food isn't good.

After the Singing Cooks and Waiters, we took our balikbayans to Baywalk at the Manila Bay. They found the place very nice. And thats saying a lot. :) We decided to stop by Anthology kasi naaliw sila dun sa mga waiter na midgets.

And a definite improvement, they now have pay-per-use Comfort Rooms. Now the only thing to wish for is to bring back the color of the water to blue and it would be perfect, but alas some dreams are near impossible.

Tita, I'll miss you.

I would like to commend Channel 7 for having class in its treatment of the Ultra tragedy last Feb. 4. Less words, more sincerity.

Well, everyone except Joey de Leon (who, in his usual tactless nature, even had the guts to kid about those who met their untimely demise). Of course, I'm not surprised because I've half expected this of him. Oh well.

I had a blast though. And since I was in the "warm and fuzzy" family mood, I hopped in and joined the square dance. ahahah. Ang saya saya.

Last Friday I was at UST (bob's alma mater) to watch Mediartrix's (theater org) Les Miserables.

Props to the director and the rest of the ensemble. If anyone could unleash the inner faggot in me and make me sing in the audience all the timeless pieces (I've memorized them by heart) of this classic, then it must be something really good.

The young man playing Marius stole the show. Shet, baka nga magaling pa siya kay Michael Ball (I'm not exaggerating).

Host: Hey, I heard you almost didn't make it, how
did you get here?
Did you ride or did you walk?
Gay Contestant: Of course, did you ride. What do you
think of me, did
you walk?

Went out with the Buckleys last Saturday (yes, I'm phasing out Becky from my vocabulary. Buckley...short for baklita...hahahaha).

We headed for Synder in Malate and had a concert (literally, as in, in front of other people..kaya namin e.) After which hindi pa nakuntento, we headed to Providence next. Initially, there were 5 of us, but Paulo invited his doctor/suitor. Kaya lang when he arrived may additional cargo.

He had with him 5 other Pamhins (as in Pa-lalake effect to the highest heavens). It was a motley group indeed. I mean, year 2006 na. If I know, underneath that facade, theres a butterfly waiting to burst forth. Oh well, to each his own.

Malate on a Saturday night is very...shall we say, vibrant. Lots of sights to see. :)

Over all, the night was a blast. Natapos na kami mga 7am na. We even played this interview portion ala Ricky Lo and MegaStar (nakaharbat kasi kami ng Philippine Inquirer sa Jollibee, asa Entertainment section). Wala lang, trip trip lang.

From one of my all time faves

The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
Yeah

I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

I'm quiet you know
You make a first impression
I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find
You and I collide

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to ryhme
Out of the doubt that fills your mind
You finally find
You and I collide

You finally find
You and I collide

~Collide

Ok posting lyrics just shows that I'm twitching in my office wanting to get the heck out for the restdays.
