Please read on for more info. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Information: Welcome to Magical Theory, a Harry Potter RPG that takes place in Harry, Ron and Hermione’s seventh and last year at Hogwarts. This is a mature RPG that may contain slash and NC-17 situations. The Magical Theory universe is a continuance of the mood set up in book five. Voldemort and his followers are active, no longer hiding from the Wizarding or Muggle World. His eventual plan is unclear, but what is known is that he is gathering followers, infiltrating the Resistance with spys, and murdering Wizards and Muggles relentlessly. The Wizarding World is like a rubber-band on the verge of snapping; not even Hogwarts is completely safe anymore. Students who are on the side of the Resistance have returned to Hogwarts, the rest have joined their parents or Voldemort. Dumbledore's Army is still active, and has recruited many new members, including Slytherins. But, one among them is a spy. Who is it? Not even I know...yet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This RPG uses both the Journal Role Play system as well as the AIM Role Play system. Feel free to RP with whomever you want, whenever you want as long as the RP is completed, it’s fine. The RP should be written in third person, as if telling a story, hence actions should not be shown with *, /, etc. Personal character journals should be entirely in character, save for a short disclaimer in the user info. This means no links to your RL journal, no OoC messages in your character journal posts and no posting in third person. Remember, everything on your personal journals are public. You may make fake, private posts (i.e. Ron is fiddling with journal, thinks that post is private, but actually public and viewable by other characters), but nothing is actually private. This reduces confusion. magical_theory also allows first person RP'ing through the comments function of the journals. This basically means that in your personal journals, you can recall something that happened earlier in the day, and later other characters can comment on it. Through the comments, the events of the day will gradually be revealed. However, it is imperative that you inform other players of the general outline of the event, before posting about it, if it includes their character. Nothing too specific, just an overview of the plot will do. magical_theory is an IC (in character) community. Owls, IM RPs, specific journal RPs, or public IC announcements should all be posted on this community. theory_news is the Magical Theory OoC community, where plot lines are discussed, questions asked, and any other OoC announcements are made.
