Bio:IMPORTANT NOTE. Occasionally I get avoidant and stop updating this journal for months at a time, then return and suddenly play catch-up posting all of my back entries. This can glut people's friends pages, so if you feel like adding me as a friend, please keep that in mind. I would hate to bother anyone by taking up too much of their friends page, but that's just a bad habit of mine.

I don't mind people adding me to their friends lists, but I'd prefer if you do it because you 1. like reading my journal (whether you comment or not doesn't matter); 2. want to keep up on what I'm doing for whatever reason; 3. know me from somewhere and feel it's the friendly thing to do; or 4. share a lot of interests with me. Please DO NOT add me if you 1. want lots of return notes--I'm very shy and don't note often; or 2. want lots of attention for your own journal, because I think people who "mass-friend" lots of people with the sole intent of gaining readers are rather rude. If our temperaments are virtually opposite, we share very few interests, and we don't really care for each other's entries, why should I be on your friends list?

Other than that I'll usually add people when they add me, unless for some reason I feel I was added to their list in error. (My judgement call.)

Here is my profile information; please read it also to learn about me.

Tehuti, Lord Of The Eight

Hello and welcome to Skew. I am "Tehuti," a female twentysomething nobody from northern Michigan. You can view my profile here.

I am very shy (I suffer from extreme social anxiety) and may not respond to all comments (if any are even left--I can't seem to find readers for my journal anywhere, and this thing is posted on most of the main diary sites), although I do appreciate them. My interests are reflected in my websites below but they include fantasy (original fantasy, NOT high fantasy/LOTR/elves/orcs/mages-type drivel), writing, reading, mythology (especially Egyptian and Ojibwa/Chippewa), psychology, dreams, ritual abuse, yaoi (M/M erotica--I prefer to write, not read, unless it's done tastefully--graphic detail good, vulgar language bad), Jungian symbolism, nature, and the occult/paranormal. These interests are frequently present in my writing, almost to the point of obsession sometimes. My "short" stories regularly run over 5000 words, and my long ones...well...they kind of break the scale. o_o

When reading my journal, if you wish to leave a comment, please keep these few little things in mind:

* Unsolicited "advice" in the vein of "Get off your butt and do something about it" or "Quit whining" or "Shut up" etc. is not welcome; specific advice given in a thoughtful manner, especially if solicited, is always welcome. "Tough love" is not love at all, it's just rude.

Please see these entries for more on this and on how I believe personal journals should be used (IMO):

* If you disagree with me on something, that's fine, and you may say so; but please do not try to egg me into a debate, and please don't tell me my opinion is "wrong." Opinions can't be wrong. There IS such a thing as respectful disagreement, and it doesn't involve namecalling. These are personal journals, not debate forums.

* If my entries bore you, you don't have to tell me so; I know they're boring already. Likewise if you find my entries too long, you do not have to tell me so. I know that too. Telling me my entries are long is like saying the sky is blue. And if you could not read the entire thing, you don't have to inform me of that, I'll understand. However if you LIKE long boring entries...hop on in! I have plenty to choose from. :)

* I tend to throw massive fits every so often, and once they're over I either sulk angrily for months on end or feel extreme guilt and shy away from my journal for weeks; likewise I get very depressed just about monthly. By now I strongly believe I could be borderline based on how I react to people. (This describes me almost to a T.) If something I write offends you please take into account that I am prone to awful moodswings and often irrational anger, and I'll probably be beating myself up--literally--soon enough.

Please enjoy your stay, no matter how short it's likely to be.
