FACTS Full Name: Randolph C. Harrison Birthday: November 2nd 1977 Star Sign: Scorpio
BIO Randy Harrison was born on November 2, 1977 in New Hampshire. When Randy was 11 years old he moved to Alpharetta. It's a northern suburb of Atlanta, a 45-minute trip outside the city. A veteran of the stage, Randy has been acting since the age of seven, after seeing a play with his parents. In Alpharetta, Randy went to middle school near his home. After middle school, Randy attended a private high school, the shy teenager was not out to but a few close friends. The school has an excellent performing arts program. After highschool Randy attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts(BFA) in March of 2000.
Audiences at CCM may remember him from his starring roles in "Hello Again," "Shopping and Fucking" and "Children of Eden." Randy has also appeared professionally in various theaters throughout the U.S.A. Some of his favorite performances have been in productions of "Violet" at the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, "1776" at the St. Louis Municipal Theatre and "West Side Story" at the Forestburg Playhouse, as well as productions of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "The Real Inspector Hound" and "A Cheever Evening." But showtime's series Queer as Folk, was his television debut. His contract with Queer as Folk ends after season four. Randy had this to say about his post-qaf carrer.
"I'm confident in my ability to maintain a career. I don't know if it will be doing either independent films or plays in New England I sort have this image of myself sort of disappearing for a while and reemerging five to 10 years down the road again. We'll see."

Quotes
"Oh, yeah. I'm definitely a Yankee, a New Englander at heart. Both my parents are Southerners, so they always wanted to go back to the South. I was always the shame of the family-the one Yankee who was actually born in the North." - Randy on being born in New Hampshire
"I guess I had a suspicion of it my entire life without knowing exactly what it was-knowing that there was something different about me, which I attributed to being an artist. At 11 or 12 I started sort of clarifying for myself. It took a while. " - Randy on understanding he was gay
"No, no, no! Is it ever? I mean, no, it was terrible. I never fell in love - Randy on his first time
"I think doing any series where you are seen as the same character twenty-two hours in a season can make it difficult for an actor to be seen as any other character. However, I also think that it's an amazing opportunity to be able to spend so much time working with good scripts and good directors, and other talented actors. I have no idea what I will do in the future. But, I look forward to seeing what kind of opportunities will present themselves, and am prepared to face whatever challenges playing this role will bring up for me as an actor. " -Randy on being typecasted

Bang, Bang, You're Dead ::Queer as Folk
Queer as Folk
Based on Britain's controversial series of the same name, Queer As Folk is about the lives of a group of gay men and women living in Pittsburgh. Focusing on their relationships, their careers, their loves and ambitions, the series is a brave, realistic, funny and sometimes graphic portrayal of society that has never been seen before on U.S. television.
Brian Kinney (Gale Harold), is a sexual animal, always on the prowl for his next conquest. Michael Novotny (Hal Sparks) is his best friend. Justin Taylor (Randy Harrison) is an18-year-old boy whose life is changed one night when he experiences sex and what he thinks is love, for the first time. Emmett Honeycutt (Peter Paige) is the most flamboyant of his friends and wears it with pride. Ted Schmidt (Scott Lowell) is an accountant whose fatal flaw is a lust for 20-somethings who don't return his interest. Debbie Novotny (Sharon Gless) is Michael's eccentric mother - vehemently proud of her gay son. Lindsay Peterson (Thea Gill), an art teacher and Melanie Marcus (Michelle Clunie), a lawyer, are a loving lesbian couple who decide to have a child sired by Brian (whom Melanie despises), not realizing exactly how complicated and entwined their lives will become.
Queer As Folk is executive produced by Ron Cowen, Daniel Lipman and Tony Jonas. Cowen & Lipman developed the series for American television based on the British series created by Russell T. Davies. Sheila Hockin serves as producer. Davies is a consultant on the SHOWTIME series from Tony Jonas Productions, Cowlip Productions and Temple Street Productions.
Bang.Bang You're Dead
Trevor Adams (BEN FOSTER) is an a typical student at a typical American high school. Bright and articulate, he is nevertheless perceived as an outsider by almost everyone, including most of his fellow students and the adults in his life. The fact that he made a bomb threat against the football team the previous year, further alienates him as a student "at risk" for further violence.
As the new school year begins, Trevor documents with his video camera a world that seems increasingly hostile. "Welcome to the nightmare," he narrates, upon returning to school. Despite his isolation, there are those at the school who believe in him
Val Duncan (TOM CAVANAGH) is the school's charismatic young drama teacher who recognizes Trevor's potential for creativity as well as violence. He offers him the lead role in a controversial new play, "Bang Bang You're Dead," the story of a teenager who loses his way in life and resorts to murder. Reluctant to expose himself to more mockery, Trevor is about to decline until Jenny (JANE MCGREGOR), an attractive new girl in school, agrees to play the female lead.
In a school factionalized by cliques, Jenny finds Trevor's defiant individuality fascinating. She quickly learns of his troubled past and despite that, they become friends. Trevor is also befriended by a subversive group called the Trogs, who challenge the popular jocks’ sense of self-entitlement and supremacy. The conflict between the Trogs, who are led by Sean (RANDY HARRISON) and the jocks quickly escalates as pranks turn to dangerous provocations. Val assigns his students to each make a video about the real-life drama in their own lives. When parents learn of Val's plan to stage "Bang Bang You’re Dead," which they wrongly misinterpret as glorifying violence, Val is forced to move the school production off school grounds.
Amidst this highly charged atmosphere, Trevor shows his film assignment during Val's video class. The dark and disturbing film is filled with images of real guns being fired by masked actors and the implied shooting of a member of the football team. The students praise Trevor's technique and his unflinching questioning of authority but Val is deeply troubled. He turns to his trusted colleague, Ellie (JANEL MOLONEY), a math teacher, who confirms his worst fears, the video is a death threat that must be reported to authorities. For Sean, however, the promises come too late. After a particularly humiliating incident at the hands of the jocks, he discloses to Trevor the ultimate retribution against the school. The Trogs plan a massacre in the school cafeteria. In a fateful moment, Trevor must confront the consequences of violence and the true meaning of friendship.
