| About: | This is a Buffy RPG, set in the middle of season 5. Glory's still around, Joyce isn't dead, Dawn is still in danger, Anya is human, and there's no such thing as magic addictions. Welcome to the world of making alternative universes. We won't be following the script, so if things start progressing in a way that it looks like something that happened in the series won't be possible here, don't worry about it. We're making our own plot, and we're going to have fun with it.
This game is more concerned with staying in character and interacting with each other than it is defeating the big bad and saving the day. But the key does still need to be protected (or found, if you're Glory), and the differant dimensions are still in danger of bleeding over into each other. And there's also these humanoid parasites that have fangs and drink blood. Remember them? But characterization is the important thing here.
The game will be played mainly through the journals, no messangers required. *However* private role playing through messengers of whatever kind and/or by email is a wonderful supplement and greatly encouraged, and we advise you to leave your contact info on your character's info page.
All (still living) characters from seasons 1-5 are welcome. We're not at all opposed to seeing a few familar faces pop up. No original characters, or characters from seasons 6 or seven will be accepted.
RULES
-Please stay in character in all your journal posts. OOC comments should go in the community.
-Write your posts like you would your own journal entries. These are supposed to read like the characters' Blurtys (blurties?) would. Keep it in first person and past tense. An example of a good post would start like "I stopped by to see Willow after patrol." and tell what happen from there. An example of a bad post would be "Buffy walks up to Willow and Tara's door and knocks lightly. It's two AM, and she hopes she's not waking them up." The second example would be a good for private RPing, though.
-Keep in character. Don't make the characters do or say things they would never do. Spike wouldn't go out in a pink tutu and pick flowers, Tara wouldn't go up to random strangers and pick fights, and Willow isn't likely to get drunk and sleep around.
-Please try to post at least once a week if you can. More is good, of course, but we'd like everyone to post at least once a week. If something comes up and you won't be able to post for two weeks or more at a time, contact the mods and explain the situation.
-Do not say someone else's character did something unless it's been acted out in private RP or at least agreed upon by their player. Let other people play their own characters, and you worry about your own.
-No killing, vamping, or kidnapping, ect. a character without both getting the player's permission and clearing it through the mods.
-You cannot kill off your character without first clearing it through the mods. If you simply do not wish to play anymore, tell us and we'll find a replacement.
-If you think a character is acting OOC, or if someone said your character did something you didn't agree to, tell the mods. We'll take care of it.
