i look to you and smile,
for it to have meaning..it may take awhile.
i touch you softly and hold you close,
the mangled thoughts in my head i try to compose.
the way i look into your eyes,
can you see through the reflection my hidden lies?
the tears that i bury,
the hurt that i carry.
look at how happy i pretend to be,
fake acts or is this really me.
and when you turn and leave my sight,
i softly repeat to myself how nothing is alright.
i just want you to save me from this,
teach me that happiness truly exists.

i dont want to be lonely.
i could never throw my pain on you,
you would never know what to do.
and the scars they hide beneath the sleeves,
the emotional pain and the pills i need.
the tainted cuts that gradually close,
the bottle leaves my grin after the overdose.
the never-ending pinching and the scratching until it bleeds,
and that same feeling that continues to proceed.
the visions of death and the contemplating of suicide,
the way i pretend everything on the outside.
'cause to you im just a person dying to live,
but to me im just a person with nothing more to give.
