| About: | This community is where you can create a notebook of souvenirs by random people that you’ve met on Blurty.
Here’s how it works:
1. Join the community.
2. Buy a notebook, preferably a sturdy, hard cover one with a hard spine.
3. Personalize the cover, and take the first few pages to introduce yourself with whatever creative mediums that you may. Be sure to include your Blurty username, and your mailing address, so that it can make its way back to your hands once it is filled.
4. Pick a member of the community, either randomly choose an address from our memories section—make sure to ask their permission first, or contact them through e-mail. If there are specific people you’d like your notebook to visit, send it off with a list so that you can control its whereabouts--to an extent, at least.
5. When you receive someone else’s notebook by mail, take one or two pages to fill it with artwork, pictures, postcards, stickers and the like. Be creative!
6. Once a notebook is filled, it will be returned to its original owner.
It’s that simple! Minded, there are a few rules:
1. Handle with care, this is a given. Treat other’s notebook with respect, and give it your best artwork/personalization!
2. When you receive a notebook, post its arrival in our community; this will allow us to track its progress and progression.
3. Don’t hog; Pass it along! There is no time limit set to how long you may keep a notebook, but know that it is loved and eagerly awaited by its owner!
4. If you deicide to leave the community, be sure to send along any notebooks that you may have in possession, then notify me so that your address will be removed from lists.
Please understand that once the notebook leaves your hands, it is at the discretion of others. There is no liability placed upon this community and its moderators. Remember, accidents happen and notebooks, heaven forbid, may be lost in the mail. Please do not send anything extremely valuable to you.
Also, to those who are worried about giving out your mailing address, know that only you can make it available to others. If you would like to submit it and make your address available to random notebooks, it will only be available to other members of the community.
