Oliver is seemingly unaware of both the fact that he is attractive, and that girls exist. He is obsessed with quidditch to an extreme degree, which is off-putting to most women. He is generally amiable and honest, and eager to please, but also easily distracted by anything quidditch-related. To Oliver, quidditch is life.

Oliver was the captain of the Gryffindor house quidditch team from his 4th year at Hogwarts until he graduated 3 years ago. To his credit, he was one of the best keepers the team had ever had, and undoubtably the most motivated captain. After school, he went on to play quidditch professionally until this year, when he was asked by Albus Dumbledore to help supervise the school quidditch program with another alumnus, Cho Chang.
