| Bio: | For those of you who are unaware what you've stumbled uopn, this is a roleplaying journal belonging to one Doctor Amelia Brigid O'Neill, one of the protagonists of Masks of Nyarlathotep. The year is 1925.
A few words of warning to all who read:
1) I am attempting to recreate the thoughts, emotions, and experiences of a woman who is barely sane to begin with: Amelia is - at the beginning of the story, mind you - a shakily recovering alcoholic during the Prohibition period, and a psychic with a power which she fears and cannot control. While not angsty, she certainly isn't happy. If the portrayal of disturbing imagery or substance abuse (a) makes you uncomfortable, or (b) is a trigger for you, travel far, far away.
2) Amelia is a Lovecraftian protagonist. Translation: she is probably going to go insane or die. Or both. It's not a matter of if, but when. Keep that in mind.
3) There may come in the future subjects which are potentially sensitive, such as racism. This character is from the twenties; therefore, she will think, behave, and react the way a middle-class white woman in the twenties would have reacted (for the most part) when it comes to social and political issues of the day. I'm not pulling any punches, guys.
