| About: | BILLETS-DOUX is french for "love letter", and that's what this community is all about. This community is a place for people to post unsent love letters. It's also okay if you send the letters.
The (would be) receiver could be crushes, partners, ex-partners, etc.
What's the point in writing/posting an unsent letter? Most people, by nature, feel better after venting their emotions. Doing so in a way that others can see and possibly relate to helps all the more. Plus, venting in the form of a letter is more personal and creative than just regular venting.
THE RULES
1. Posts to the main journal must be in the form of a letter. Introductory posts are okay, but do so in letter format (eg: Dear Community). For the record, comments do not have to be in the form of a letter.
2. This is a community about unsent love letters. That means no quiz results, surveys, looking for friends, venting in a non-letter format, etc. If you're up for that kind of thing, head on over to  lovehurts.
3. Racism, sexism, and homophobia are big no no's and will result in immediate banishment from the community.
4. If your letter is excessively long, consider putting it behind a cut tag. 56k'ers like fast loading times, too.
