Below is information about the "abuse" community. This is a closed community. To become a member you must contact its maintainer. You may leave the community at any time.

If your request is of an urgent nature and you cannot wait for a team member to respond to you, you may contact a member of the team via AIM at BlurtyAbuse . Someone may or may not be online at that name, though someone usually is.

Please do not contact team members outside of the methods outlined above.

This community is for Blurty's abuse team discussion. All postings here will be friends-only.


If you are interested in joining the Abuse Team, please submit a request to the support board ( under the Abuse Category.

Include the following information in the body of your request
- Your username.
- A detailed statement on why you are interested in becoming a member.
- A description of any experience you feel you can bring to the team.

A professional writing style is important, as is a sense of humor. If you want to catch our attention, amuse us. :)

It is important to note that being a member of abuse is not necessarily a "fun" volunteer position.

We will be looking for people who can use constructive criticism, work on cases that may be draining, and will have some free time.

If you are easily stressed out or cannot handle impartially investigating things you may find objectionable, abuse is probably not for you.

Every applicant is considered and you will receive a response whether or not you are accepted.
