Tell us the truth
Yesterday was so much fun. I drove down to D.C. with Dan to see the "Tell Us the Truth" tour, since I missed out on Friday night. It was much driving, but well worth it. It was good to get away, even for a short time. My main interest was to hear what Tom Morello was going to sound like singing with an acoustic. I was very impressed, but not just by him, but the show in general. It was so well done. There were many different styles of playing and it all came together so wonderfully. The crowd consisted of people of all ages and it was great seeing everyone responding together. Everyone on stage was respected for what they said, no matter how they went about expressing their words. I was very suprised. Blues, British punk, folk, country, rap... everyone cheered for everyone. It was also amazing how they continuously changed the style by adding people to the stage. They united so many different styles and you could tell they had fun doing it. For the show being as political as it was, there was also a lot of laughing. It was one hell of a good time. The show got done around midnight, so we didn't make it back until about 3:30 or so. I just wish the night wasn't so rushed. Most of it feels like a dream cause it moved so fast.
