    Just Read:
    A Farewell To Arms
    Ernest Hemingway

It is a sad book. A very sad book. Or maybe I'm at the age where I find books like this one sad.
    Either which way...

You are on a roll ... how many have you read in the last couple of days?

Plenty... Girlfriend's out of town for the next month and a half... Office gets over by 7... What else is there to do...? You can only feed the fish and water the plants so many times in a day... No...?

well, the 'old man and the sea' ends pretty sadly too.
and so, i think, does, 'for whom the bell tolls'
he has a pretty gloomy outlook towards life, doesn't he?
all his heros are failures.
no supermen. no fun. :)
