Real Nasty!
I am very new to the blog/blurty thing...the whole concept of it. This is my very first entry. I would have made an entry when I created my account, but I wasn't sure what I should be writing about. Turns out, it doesn't matter what I write about. It could be anything. That's pretty cool I guess. Then I got thinking about who is going to see my entry. I don't have any friends...I don't know anyone who is blogging here.
But, maybe some people will be like me and will just click on the most Recently Created Entries from the "home page" (I guess that's what it's called). That's what I did today when I logged on. I wanted to see what some others were writing about.
OMG! The one and only entry I clicked on was from some chick who was talking about her recent sexual encounters. Could have been intriguing. I'm all about reading something fun and different. Maybe I'll learn something! Maybe I'll get a good laugh. Who knows. Turns out, I was pretty disgusted by this chick's entry and I'm NOT a person who is easily offended or disgusted. People really do write about anything and everything. That's cool; this is the place for that. However, it's rather disappointing that I'll never get back the 20 seconds I spent skimming the nasty entry.
Lesson learned! I'll have to check into some groups and specific topics that interest me and NOT read random entries. Just confirms that although there are a lot of cool people in this world, there are some who are less than desirable.
