    I'm strange
I'm totally looking forward to HIV testing day tomorrow. It's the best day of the year.

    Not to mention the busiest.

It's the day that every TV and radio in the state is going to be blurting out our phone number, promising them that we have the answers, and urging them to call.

    And call they will.

The daytime full time counselors such as myself like to call the phoneroom "the trenches." There is a somewhat silly, exaggerated image that goes along with that description... Us as soldiers waging a war against disease, ignorance, and crisis. Well, in keeping with that military similie, tomorrow is going to be a major offensive in that war. We've called in extra troops and we're taking no prisoners. Watch out HIV. I've got you in my sights.

Man. If working at this place doesn't make me go crazy, nothing will.

    P.S. Dear everybody, get tested.

Good luck on your big day!

And as a side note, at my last yearly physical, I had them run an HIV test because of you AND because I hadn't had one since 1995. The doctor said I didn't need to have one (which shocked me actually), but gave in anyway.

That's what the doctor said to me on my last test

("you've had only one partner ever, and you don't do IV drugs... Why are you getting this done?")

Anyway, I'm glad I talked you into it (I didn't even have to try!).... now see if you can get "R" to go get one too :)

Well, see I had had more than one partner which was what was making me flabbergasted at her not wanting to test me.

And actually, R has been tested. :)
