    Current mood:dorky

    Day one ....
I smoked my last cigarette yesterday evening. Removed all temptation, No cigs here!! Oh yea ..more importantly I got K to quit with me. I am saving his life too!! He can now live the extra 10 mins to 10 years or whatever it is... and Listen to me bitch!! Lucky him!!! LOL Other then when I first woke up and during my first cup of coffee ..I am not missing it as badly as I feared I might.

Put some more ram into my computer.. It really shows an improvement, esp on my silly farm frenzy game. I should be hanging my head in shame, I play that dumb game into the wee hours of the night/morning... I dont have a life or anything.

I am sitting here typing with the little kitty I affectionately named "Troll" He doesn't know it but he isn't what I would call a handsome fellow. However, what he lacks in one department he makes up for in others, He is so sweet you can't help but love him. Troll is about 3 or 4 months old now. Two days ago he decided to do as he had seen his mother do..(perch on the side of the toilet to get a cold drink of water) but he isn't as graceful or agile as his mother... he fell in! Made this God awful , screaming/ scratching sounds getting out LOL I felt so sorry for him I sat here with him wrapped in a towel and held his shivering little body for a good hour. Normally I would have already found a forever home for this kitty but he has been sickly, he has just now learned to eat some soft foods. HIs sibling has been doing it for weeks now.

Me and the kids have named some of Smokies babies... we have....patches (she is a calico), Teddy (long haired black with tiny bits of grey he looks like a teddy bear) Don.. (I named him his hair sticks up in the center like Don Kings lol.) Bandit (grey striped and wearing a mask) Theres the runt which I simply call "STUD" he is tiny .. yet you can tell he is a boy if you know what I mean... lol

Im going to be "the crazy cat lady" when I am old. Not by choice but I just seem to be doomed. I can not turn away an animal, I must feed and nurture them... (its the Mom in me) Its not just cats. Its Dogs, and anything else I feel is in need.

Randy promised my girls a goat...he has one that is pg and due to deliever anytime now. I promised Randy a box full of kittens. He hates cats. lol I thought it was a fair trade myself.

Ok I need to go burn some excess energy off... bbl.

    hugs,
    Me

Congrats on your and K's determination to quit smoking, Robin! It's a tough thing to do, but worth it in the end.

LOL at the names of your kittens! We have two inside cats and numerous barn cats. When we moved here 13 years ago, it was months before we realized there was a cat living in the barn. He was wild as a buck, and did a good job of hiding. He disappeared after a while.

My wife brought home a couple of kittens to be outside cats (both calicos). The kids were very young, and named them Ding Dong and Ling Long. Ding Dong grew to be one monster of a cat. He was real affectionate cat; anytime you sat on the porch, he was up in your lap. What a moose he was ... he would fall asleep and felt 20 lbs heavier. And if you startled him, his claws would grab whatever was handy .. ouch!

When the inside cats were kittens, I gave them all temporary names based on how they looked. The names stuck: The oldest is a long hair tortie calico named Fuzzy Butt, the other is a tortie calico named Stripe Nose. In the litter with Stripe Nose we also had Orange, Specks and Gray Boy. Can I name 'em, or what?? LOL!

I know what you mean about cat ladyhood ... we've considered name our farm "The Cat House," but my wife took a dim view of that one .. ;-)

LOL I love the names!!! Even if you don't keep the cats; well I can't help calling them something. We had monkey, cow and curly tail from our last litter they went to new homes and they are still called by those names. ..we had several from this mommy that end up looking siamese, beautiful grey faces and blue eyes, they grew to be big boys we named them atilla and golaith.

Fuzzy butt is a winner....I think I got a fuzzy butt in the box now;) lol

Just can't help myself...

Wonder if my neighbors would be offended if I put a sign up that said "welcome to the crazy cathouse"? lol

I am more of a dog person myself...taking in all the strays and several abuse rescue dogs. But, I have always had cats too. We have one now, Randys cat, Baby Trouble...they call him Baby, I call him handsome.

I wish you lived closer, I would take one off your hands. We told Paige that she could get a kitten once we are in our new house...and she will hold us to it, I know. I told her she could have a girl kitty...it will be an indoor only cat.

Love the names you have picked out...we had one named Sunglasses cuz it had black rings around its eyes.
