Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry

    A general missive
Let it be known about the land--

I request and require the apologies of Lords Boromir and Aragorn on behalf of Lord Frodo of the Bag End in the name of chivalry! He has not been properly addressed as befits his station, an oversight of great diplomatic gravity! In order to avoid a diplomatic incident of the worst degree, action must be taken.

    Signed,

    Turin Turambar, Master of Doom

Who are you and why are you haunting the Last Homely House, making ridiculous statements?

No matter. Here, hold this. *hands you a gigantic trunk* My husband and I are leaving for Gondor and we require a porter. You will do. Come, follow me.

Oh, for...they're just -mortals-. They can work it out themselves.

Sometimes they need help, Maglor, son of Feanor.

A just request, Lord Turin, but the only thing that might actually work on those two is a lawsuit, which I am too busy with personal matters to pursue. Thank you, nonetheless, for your consideration.

Sincerely, Lord Baggins

Justice needs no lawyers! Chivalry is at the heart of every true knight!

I but do my humble best, Lord Hobbit.

Tell me then, milord, how do you feel about polyandry? I am desperately in need of support for my ideals, for the woman I love wishes to marry me simultaneously with another man.

Pollywhatsit? Is that where two men marry one woman? *wrinkles nose* How deviant. Really, Lord Frodo, that's not even the stuff of civilised conversation.

Yes. BUT I AM BEING FORCED INTO ONEwith my best friend and the lady I love. PLEASE HELP ME to talk these nutts out of this. I want the woman to myself, THE WAY IF SHOULD BE. I am appalled beyond words at what my friend and my beloved are doing to me.

O_O *hurriedly paws through Rule Book Of Chivalry*

Hmm... extramarital sexual situations, page 85, that's not quite right, but ... hmm.... how to escape your elderly husband's tower and ride off with your knight in shining armor ... no ... how to aid a lady whose heart is broken ... um ...

*brightly* Perhaps you should go on a quest! That always works in the stories!

OK... I've just been on a quest to Mordor to destroy the Ring. Where should I go and what should I seek?
