    September 28-30..........
So is everybody getting sick of my tardy updates from vacation? :p

The morning of the 28th I packed my things up and left Disney World. :( It was depressing sitting there waiting for the bus to pick me up.
I took the Disney bus to the airport where I caught the shuttle to the Hertz car rental. I got talked into an up grade on my rental car. I was scheduled to have a Ford Fusion, but instead left with a Ford Mustang. No not a convertible. :p The up grade and tank of gas on return was another $172 on top of the $272 already paid. Still cheaper than if I hadn't gone through Priceline, but ouch. lol...
I left earlier than my last time and didn't stop to see the ocean this time, so I actually got to my brother's place in Evans, Georgia just around dusk. Last time it was closer to 9 pm. Their eldest, Mary, warmed up to me quickly and we were playing right away. Their little one, Kristen, was a little slower to come around. Of course she was only 9 months old. lol...
We just hung around for the evening. My brother and I went over to Applebees for some take out. The waitress gave me a free large lemonade. Super nice of her.
The next day I went with my brother to the mall. He had an appointment to get his eyes checked. Then we just cruised the mall. Did a lot of window shopping. We ate in the food court and wondered around for awhile more. I got an ornament at the Hallmark store and a magazine in Barnes & Noble. Galen got some "books" for Mary. Counting and that sort of thing. From there we stopped at the daycare place and picked up the kids. Took them home and we played, had some supper and chilled in front of the tv.
My last day there, my brother and I took Mary to the Columbia, SC zoo. It was a really nice zoo for basically being an urban zoo. Mary was pretty good until towards the end of the day. She threw a fit when she couldn't have something in the gift shop. We got out on the highway and she was fast asleep. lol... It took Mary a little while after we got home to get over her grouchiness, but she eventually did. We spent the evening at home playing with the kids and watching tv.
Time was too short. I don't get to see my brother and his family very often. :(
The next day, it's back on the road and off to see Mary and her family in Milton, Fl.

So, were they all flooded out by the rain, or on higher ground??

They were okay while I was there. Has it been raining since? Or do you refer to earlier rains?

Back around the time you were there...maybe just prior....Georgia was pretty much getting flooded with lots o' rain.

Oh yeah, like the week before I drove up there. Not sure where all that extra water was, but I didn't see any laying around on my trip up there.

Nice upgrade!

With as many zoos as I've ventured to lately (which really isn't a whole lot) they have all been placed in the ghetto part of the city. Well, except Toledo I guess.... but yeah, I have no clue why they do that, but it is an adventure driving through, being the only white-y until we get to the zoo. :P

You need to come visit the Minnesota Zoo. It's out in a suburb in a pretty open area. :)
