Maynard, 19, of 166 Sandy Lane in Norwich died Thurs. Aug. 19, 2004 at the W.W.Backus Hospital in Norwich. He was born in New London on Nov. 30, 1984 the son of Denise S. Maynard of Norwich and the late Guy G. Maynard. Brian had graduated from the Norwich Technical School where he was the class president for his Soph., Junior & Senior years. Elected to the National Honor Society in his Sophomore year, Brian was the president of the N.H.S. in his Senior year. He was attending the Three Rivers Community Collage in Norwich and was also working part- time as a Computer Technician for Tel- Aid in Waterford. Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister and brother in law Lisa and Steve McCullough and their son Cole of South Hadley, MA., and his paternal grandmother Flora Maynard of Groton. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tues., Aug. 24 at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London. Burial will follow in the Smith Lake Cemetery in Groton. There will be a visiting hour from 10 to 11 am Tues. prior to the service at the funeral home. Donations in his memory may go to the LifeChoice Donor Services, 8 Griffin Rd.
