    Apparently, I'm a nasty bitch
What is it with people the past few days? Aside from the moron we dealt with yesterday, we had a few winners today as well (although, none of them made fear that they would return with a gun). During my dinner break this evening, I went to my car which is where I take all my breaks. I need to get away from people for a while, even my co-workers...also, I smoke. About 5 or 10 minutes before the end of my break, a man walks past the front of my car and into the car next to me. His passenger door was along my driver's side. I had my window open with my arm out the window holding my cigarette. As he backed up, the woman (early 20's perhaps), yelled out the window "you're a nasty bitch"! The man must have said something to her because I heard her say "well, she is". I leaned out my window and said "and you're rude". She then told me that I was rude because I was smoking in her car. At that point, the guy drove away.

First, let me tell you, I didn't even realize someone was in the car next to me when I first went out and when I did notice, the other car's window was up. Even if it wasn't, I would have still smoked. Second, I have always tried to be a considerate smoker. I don't throw my cigarette butts out my window into the parking lot, I spray body spray on myself before returning to work so I don't smell like an ashtray, etc. If she had something to me at the time, I would have moved my car. Okay, in all honesty, I would have moved my car because I was at work, not that I would be in trouble for not moving it and still smoking but because I try to maintain my good customer service persona throughout the day but I never even had a hint that it bothered her.

    I, too, hate people.

Brave woman, waiting until she was safely moving away before yelling at you without giving you a chance to do something about it. Gosh, you must have looked so hard and scary, smoking away with your window open like that.

[rolleyes]
