WHoooOAAAA im actually updateing...
and for once its not quizzes surveys or my schedule.. my journal is now public.. because just who doesnt want to read my life? okay well a LOT has happened since i stopped updating but im not gonna talk about that this is just a recap of the concert last night...
okay so before i get into the actual concert part i'll give you the quick version of the week before the concert..
jenny tells me about The Ataris are playing at Villanova Oct. 3rd and how shes upset cos she cant go cos her mom wont drive her. I bug my parents and they decide to let me go as an early b-day gift. i call jenny and she said she can go. i ask the cute kid in my world lit class((Nolan Steele)) if he can go and he says maybe. So i my dad and i buy the tickets and then i ask nolan if he got his yet and he says yes so we plan it out that jenny will come to my house and then we'll pick up nolan and go to the concert. Ta-Da!!! it really wasnt as simple as that but i wont bore you with details... so now on to the day of the concert
i wake up and go to school like usual.. ((jenny steps on my shoe and makes me fall flat on my back in the middle of the hallway)) there is a boring pep rally that was soooo pointless then i come home.. i'll get into the bus ride home later.. so i get home and i chill for a few minutes. take a shower and by then its like 3.40 so i decide to get ready so i do and i'm read by 4.15 then i go downstairs; get on the computer and talk and soon after i get on Nolan IMs me and we talk and that what i was doing when jenny got 'hurr' at 5.15. so her mom and my parents talk for a while and jenny talks to Nolan online . then we leave around 5.25ish. we drive to Nolans house and my mom talks to his mom and finally we're off!!
we get to the Pavillion at Villanova university around 5.45-ish and we get in line--there were already a bunch of people there ... about 50 or maybe 40 so we're standing in line and within half an hour the line at LEAST triples.. people are walking around handing out demo CDs and band stickers and we're standing and jenny see a sign that says "NO CAMERAS!" so we're all like oh shit cos all of us have cameras so jenny and i stick then up our bras and we just stood and waited and i entertained the people around us with my flexibility. i got interviewed for the Villanova TV thing and i love the camera so yeah that was cool. but it was FREEZING cold so we were happy when the gates finally opened at 7...
we go in and they take out tickets.. didnt even ask us to open our purses to look for cameras((dumbasses)) and we ran up to the stage and we are standing with about 5 people in front of us.. like 10 feet away from the stage! it was really nice in there.. cept i was really thirsty and jenny and nolan both had to pee but we werent about to lose our spots. the show started about 8.15 with Vendetta Red opening up.. their stage presence was INCREDIBLE! there was a bit of moshing and nolan went into the circle pit i was so scared cos it looked freaky but there wasnt a whole lot of moshing to VR and i think one person crowd surfed then VR played their last song and the leader singer, Zach did a stage dive into the pit and he was carried back to me and i grabbed his crotch by accident and i felt like such a teeny! but it was pretty kick ass... then Vendetta Red left and the stage crew came out and started to reset the stage for the Ataris. this is where all the trouble starts
jenny, when Zach stage dived(stage dove? dived or dove? doesnt stage dove mean something entirely different from stage dived? of well i'll just say stage dived and you all know what i mean) and everyone ran back to catch him, pushed her way to the front row but nolan and i werent small enough to fit like she could and plus Zach was right over top of us! so we were a couple rows back and his cousins were there too and we were just standing and talking and waiting for the Ataris to come on.. well 5 minutes later they still werent on stage.. and all of a sudden the space got tighter and the air got harder to breath but we ignored it cos we figured more people just came in... so we kepted talking and 10 minutes passed and all of a sudden the whole crowd lurched and started moshing with no music.. it was like.. a protest mosh or something cos the Ataris were taking so long! i tried to stay with nolan but it got really fucking crazy and it was so hard ot breath i was so close to passing out. well after about five minutes of total chaos the Ataris FINALLY came on..
it only gets worse here the ataris come out and apologize for making us wait--something about jet lag. and while they're apologizing i look at nolan.. then i look BEHIND nolan and i see the moshers .. the ones from the circle pit and i hit nolan and i point to the guy and im like "shit nolan.. we're right ni the fucking middle of the circle pit!" and hes like "ohhh shit..." and i looked around and there was no way to move... solid walls of people on all sides so there was nothing we could do and then the ataris started playing... it was an immediate mosh pit i was right in the middle of the god damn circle pit of people ramming into each other and pushing and shit i tried to move off the the side and i saw nolan coming over and we moved a little bit out of the way and i turned my head to talk to him and i started to say something like "im glad we're out of there" but i think i got one sylable out of my mouth when a wall of people comes out of nowhere and slams into the side of the circle pit and i am jerked to the right and i have no idea what happened to Nolan... but all of a sudden i hear screaming and i open my eyes and im on the floor with a bunch of other people laying on top of me and i could barely breath and then i listened to the screaming and people were saying "get them all off her! get them off!" like someone was laying on my stomach and someone else was sitting on my knees .. apparentlywhen the cirle pit people rammed into the rest of the moshers a shit load of people fell and dragged other people down with them. Then i feel two people grab my shoulders and arms trying to pull me out and half a dozen others are trying to move the people off me and i got up and i was amazed at how polite the people there were but jenny says that they arent polite and that they were horrible to her. i say that its all in the attitude..
just a little side note ----before the protest mosh started i said (really loudly because it was so loud) "Well if i die in the mosh pit at least i'll die having the time of my life" and a bunch of people looked around and smiled at me and this guy said i looked like his girlfriend and i was like "ohh thanks thats a compliment right?" and he said "yeah it is my girlfriend is gorgeous" so i was like "ohh yeah im glad you didnt say i looked like molly ringwold cos i hear that alot.. people come up to me and say you look like that girl from the Breatfast Club and Thirteen Candles" and then like everyone near me is like oh damn! you DO look like her and so i was like "ohh great i shouldnt have said that" and the guy who said i looked like his girl was all like "you do! you do!" so was said something like "haha you want an autograph or something?" and he said "sure" and i was like "uhh haha i wasnt serious but .. whatever floats your boat" O_o and thats when i noticed the moshers behind nolan and i and so thats why i think people were nice to me.. because i had a good attitude.. nolan said that in the pit he helped people and then they helped him.. jenny said that she was getting shoved so she shoved back and then people called her feisty..------
so soon after i fell it started getting crazy and people were trying to pick me up to crowdsurf and i escaped that and found jenny and all of a sudden we see nolan flying over our heads crowd surfing... with no shirt on... i was just like shit.. then he dissappeared and jenny pulled me out of the mosh pit cos i could barely walk. then we went to go get drinks cos jenny said we wouldnt be able to find Nolan in that kind of chaos then we went to the souviniers(sp?) and i was worrying about Nolan and i was like jenny do you think we should go back and try to find him? amd all of a sudden there he is! and i THREW myself on him and told him how worried i was.. then he lent me 10 bucks and i bought a hoodie.. then we sat outside for a little bit cooling down and i ripped down a Vendetta Red poster and brought it in and had Michael, Erik and Zach from vendetta red autograph it for mike.. cos they're like his favourite band and he couldnt be there... so mike has to kiss my ass now and i got pictures wiht Michael and Zach .. zach autographed the poster "Sorry you missed us mike. your parents SUCK! <3 Zach" and i thought that was hilarious and that was pretty much it and then we headed back into the stadium to watch them play San Dimas and then they finished up with Boys of Summer and then we left... but i have to go now.. i'll edit this entry later and finish it up and correct any spelling errors... <333
