    The Air Show!
It was awesome, exotic, out of this world and all those adjectives I cant spell off now. I live pretty near to the Nagpur air port. Watching planes and hearing their noises is no new to me. But this thing is beyond whatever I ever had imagined. Have you ever actually seen them doing that? Man! it was so mesmerizing that I couldn’t take my eyes off them.

Okay talking some senses, I am talking about the air show that held here in Nagpur today. The Indian Air Force (IAF) organizes an air show and an exhibition once in four years here at Nagpur base. I remember to have attended one around eight years ago, but all I could catch was the Para jumping. But today I saw it all. I thought they had stopped showing air stunts after the Delhi air show accident. But no, they haven’t done so as yet.

Today the show started with three biggest carrier planes passing off only a few hundred feet from the ground. Then came the ”Suryakiran”. The fighter planes, which made some great formations. There were 12 of them and such a great formations they made. Formations of different shapes, making the tricolour off the coloured exost, coming from all the different directions and swooshing past, very close to the surface and very closed to each other, and very close to the spectators. Two of them flew past each other coming from two different directions so close to each other that made me open my mouth this a wide…That was thrilling. And then came the Suchoi-30 with its thunderous sound. India’s Famous slick fighter plane. It did lots of stunts those actually scared us. Going high in sky and making circle, flying upside down, going too high and then dropping dead as if its gonna crash and then very close to the surface coming to life and fly away, and what surprised me was it actually glided in air, I mean it was going so slow I thought its gonna stop in the middle of the air like a chopper. Man that Suchoi-30 was real great. And finally came the Para-troopers. Dropping from an altitude of 3000 feet and opening the parachutes at the 1000 thousand feet they made some great formations. They actually were so close to each other that I started feeling something’s not right and they are going to get tangled. But it was just an my imagination, they did it with such a perfection to prove it actually was.

There is one exhibition as well where they are displaying many planes, how they work and all.

They are repeating the show tomorrow as well, I am definitely going again. And since tomorrow is Ana’s off, I am taking her with me as well. And if it is possible for you people too, I recommend you also to come.

Oh i'd have loved to! :D The Suchoi-30 plane i said took off from Puna base and reached here in 27 mins for the show exactly in time when suryakiran landed. Great timing. It performed its stunts and then flew back to Puna. On both the days.

I think that plane would have done the trick.
Got to work up the contacts in IAF.

Luvu!

ashu.

Arre its much more fun than tailspin to watch them doing it in real.
Well though you missed it they will do it again in four years so you might catch it then.
