    Woo, yay for me!
I finally got my homework done. I had to set up a sort of schedule. I knew that the interview, online article report and the 10 topics for my feature were due today so I worked on those for three hours. When I finally finished those and printed them out, I pulled myself away from the computer (and the urge to go to chat >.>;;; ) and read half of that novel.

Let me just say...that the novel...was so...good. o_O It started out fucking boring because they were talking about a stupid recipe with onions in it that made her cry and shit e.e (the book has a mix of recipes, home remedies, and soap opera drama all rolled up in one). I was like -yawn-! Anyway, after I got passed that part it started getting hella good when the girl's mom (Mama Elena) wouldn't let the girl (Tita) marry the love of her life because, thanks to tradition, Tita has to take care of her mom for the rest of her life. *sob* So the guy (Pedro) ended up marrying her sister (Rosalea) instead. He wanted to be near Tita and that was the only way he could do it. T_T Oh my god, that book got better and better as I read on. Finally, I got too tired to read and ended up falling asleep. Everything I read stayed fresh in my mind, however. When I woke up at 12pm, I quickly went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, chased some stupid maintenance man away e.e, grabbed my economy-sized bagged cereal (golden grahams off brand, mmm *-*) and curled up under my comforter and kept reading. I finished the book around 2:30 and was like -wow-! Tita finally ended up with Pedro after almost marrying her doctor, John Brown! Then, what totally got me was the fact Pedro died while making love to Tita!! O_O I was like 'OMG!' T_T She was so distraught that she went up to the bedroom, ate matches until she felt the fire in her soul (she felt it during the lovemaking) and then followed Pedro to the great beyond. She died wrapped up in her comforter with a box of matches in her hand and smoke rising from her ears. Then, both their bodies exploded in fire and burned down the entire ranch they lived on! >D There were lots of insane exaggerations in it. ^_~ But yes, PEOPLE, you must get your hands on this book and read it! *-* It's called 'Like Water For Chocolate'. Find it, Buy it, Read it, Enjoy it, Read it again.

Anyway, with my homework for today completed, I went to class and the professor wasn't even there. >.> She did have someone there to pick up the assignments, though. We got out early and I decided to drop by the Computer Lab before heading to my room. And here I am. ^-^

I have a test over the book later today, so I'm gonna go read over it again before class. Later on tonight, I'll be working on my thumbnails for my Publishing class and reading a few chapters from my Political Science book. Fun, fun, fun. Anyway, I'm out for now. Peace!

*grabs her bag and hurries off to her room*

I don't know if I should think that icon is either cute or disturbing... as I have a Rufus SN in chat and all. ^_^

But that novel sounds really good. I might check it out, even though I hardly read novels anymore.

It's disturbingly cute. =)

Yes, you should buy the novel and read it. It's good. *nods*

And since when did you become a yaoi fangirl? *laughs* Mawhahhhahhah! Guess Sake-chan is the only left to convert.

Say...the book rings a bell. Is the author Gabriel Garcia Marquez? @___@ The English name is somehow translateding to something in Spanish. I think back in Spanish Lit in Aldine we didn't read the book but got to see the movie, though I didn't cuz I was absent >.

I was a yaoi fan for a long while. >.>; I just wasn't superbly open about it IRL until now. In fact, I had that pile of yaoi doujinshi for the longest time. >D

Well, all my doujinshi weren't straight yaoi. I had a good number of innocent shounen-ai books, too. *-* I like both types. And I didn't know you very well when I had them so how was I supposed to know you'd wanna look at them!? >D

Anyway, my favorite pairings have to be Touya x Yue/Yukito, Reno x Rufus, Red XIII x Dark Nation (I actually read one like that and it kicked so much ass!! Dunno if it would count since they're animals but it was still CUTE! *-*), Inuyasha x Miroku, Yami Yuugi x Joey (sorry if it upsets you MG >D), Duo x Heero, Quatre x Trowa, and the list goes on and on. So many favorite pairings.

And not a word, Rumina. >.>;

*cackles* Okies...I won't tell =D

Heh...guess I ended up liking it anyways, though you have a point. Back then...I'd probably wouldn't gotten it. Parental influences spoil it.... >.>; Anyways, my favorite pairings:

Inuyasha x Mirouku (you read my mind)
Duo x Heero (go figure ^^;;)
Touya x Yukito

Yami x Yuugi <--- fave...though I get jealous of yuugi ^^;; (I read real good lemon of them XD )
Yami x Joey >P
Yuugi x Joey
Yami x Kaiba
Kaiba x Joey <--2nd fave ...puppy and master! XD
Malik x Bakura

Kenshin x Sanosuke <--- they just look good together (sake-chan is going to kill me ^^;;)

A little too many yaoi pairings for me of all people O.o? And to think 8 months ago I couldn't stand it. I suck XD

Luv,

MG-chan

Lucky you.....we didn't get a copy...we had to borrow the school copy. Interesting you got to read it in English. Ours was in Spanish ^_^

Maybe I'll go back and get a copy one day...but definetly wanna read it in Spanish.

It's kinda like that thing that I've watched many Animes in both spanish and english.

My Mythology professor is trying to press the class into reading that book. >.> Maybe I'll look into it.

When I had it, I didn't read it because I chose playing videogames over reading. >D
