Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Add to Topic Directory  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry

    Predisposed to the Technique
Well, first off, let me apologize for not updating this page in so long. You see, I truly felt like I had said everything that I set out to say when I reopened this page, and really didn’t know where to go from there.

But at last, I do have a new topic.

I have said in the past that people predisposed to astral projection can learn to control that gift in a relatively short time…and I have also said that I am one of those people. Because I’ve been writing this page, I’ve been reflecting a lot on how it all started for me…and it occurred to me recently that it may have started much earlier than I have previously stated (around 2003).

I was thinking back on all of the metaphysical experiences that I’ve had in my life, and a series of events came to mind – events that I haven’t thought about, literally, for years.

Some of my earliest memories of my childhood regard what I believe may have been my first out-of-body experiences. I remember, what at the time I believed were merely dreams, leaving my body and exploring my house…only, instead of walking, I was often flying. To this day I can recall the sensation of flight like that – a feeling I can replicate when I tried it on the astral plane in a recent experiment.

The other memory involved the same setup (leaving my body), but instead of being alone and just exploring my childhood home, I would go someplace else. When I think about it, I would have to describe the setting as perhaps a lighthouse…all I actually remember of it was the stairs that spiraled endlessly upward.

In this setting, I was never alone. In this setting, I was always accompanied by ‘something.’ I wouldn’t necessarily call him human…if I had to describe him, I would refer back to what modern ghost-hunters would call a shadow – a solid black mass, usually shaped like a person…but this shadow also had glowing red eyes.

Sounds pretty scary for a young child (I was probably only about five or six), right?

Oddly enough, I was not afraid of him…he was just like a friend to me. One particular memory I have of him and the lighthouse was walking up those endless stairs with him…but when I got tired of walking, I remember him picking me up to carry me to the top – I don’t remember what was at the top, but that’s hardly the point.

There are several reasons that I’ve begun attributing these memories to my first out-of-body experiences.

1.) They match up with one of my primary ways to recognize astral projection: Instead of being hazy, like a dream, it was crystal clear. Even now, about fifteen years later, I still remember parts of the experiences as though they had actually happened in my day to day life.
2.) In all of the experiences I can recall from my childhood, there was a distinct feeling of leaving my body – a sensation that I’ve become more than accustomed to these days.
3.) And then there’s something I don’t talk much about. In these experiences, I do remember being partially anchored to my body by what is known as the silver cord – essentially a rope that connects the physical body to the astral body. These days, I hardly notice it anymore, because I’ve become so proficient at astral projection that the things a novice notices don’t bother me. (Hence, why I don’t really talk about it all that much.)

Alright, so there’s another entry taken care of…and some of you will be pleased to note that I do have a couple more ideas for entries, that I hope I’ll have time to write out. I just got done with this past semester of classes, so ideally I’ll have some free time to jot these down.

    Until next time.

Is the solid black mass with the glowing red eyes the "he-he" your family thought was your imaginary friend?

Hey, great to see you on blurty again, Julia. I haven't heard from you for so long!
That's interesting that you would have dreams like that. On the other hand, I had many that were similar when I was a child. I think it's kind of difficult to classify them, really, but you're the one with astral projection experience here, so how much can I argue?

....... I still haven't figured it out.

About having similar dreams as a child...there is a theory among paranormal experts that children often do have 'psychic' gifts of various sorts, because they haven't yet been taught that such things 'don't exist.' These gifts go into hibernation when the children begin to conform to what society views as normal, but can usually be accessed again if the person involved has the desire to unlock that gift once again.

That being said, it's possible that I'm wrong about my conclusions regarding these past experiences. As I said in my post, I haven't thought about these things for years...and only in the past few months did I start to review every little paranormal detail of my childhood. Some things are easy to draw parallels from (i.e: when I was little I frequently saw ghosts. To this day, I still see ghosts if I go looking for them...it's a strange little hobby of mine)...but some things are harder to classify.

I gave my reasons for believing those experiences were my first out of body experiences, but there isn't really any way for me to know 'for sure.'

I do have an experiment I want to try though...I intend to begin after Christmas. If this shadow I described was one of my first guides, I should be able to track him down again. I'm hoping Sephiroth can assist, because there are a lot of factors that would go into finding this thing again. One being that I don't know what layer I was traveling to, so finding this 'lighthouse' again might be tricky enough. Another is...the astral plane is huge, and there are tons of inhabitants. It would kind of be like looking for an old childhood friend (that you haven't seen in twenty years)...searching for this friend in the general United States.

So it might take some time to garner results...but I'll keep this page updated if I do find him again.

That's really interesting, that it could have started at such a young age. A friend of mine is in a somewhat similar situation and she also began seeing things at a very young age, so I think it's likely. Been a while since your last post! Have you had any luck with, I think the term you used was something to the effect of 'evoking' Sephiroth onto this plane? I think that I completely butchered that question, I'm afraid I haven't had time to get into that book you sugested yet so I am about as newbish as one can be when it comes to the Astral plane. Hope you got my meaning.

Happy New Year!

Like I told Ladybow earlier, there is a theory in the metaphysical community that all children have psychic gifts when they're little, but 'grow out' of them as society teaches them that such things cannot exist.

As for your question, I have determined one thing: Evocation is a royal pain in the ass. I've been working on getting good enough to attempt a high-level evocation, but as is I have difficulty just with the easiest stages. But practice makes perfect...so hopefully it won't be too much longer before I can attempt the full experiment.

Hey, its been a long time since I've been reading your journal entries, but I have a few new questions to ask:

-To visualize, does Sephiroth look exactly the same from Advent Children?
-I do know that the Sephiroth you've been meeting through astral projection is an archangel and not be the video game character, but do you think there are other Sephiroths out there who carry different personalities and interests?
-This one has been bothering me for a while, but can entities appear in dreams and reappear again [in a separate dream] within one night? I've had an incident like this a couple of months ago and it involved one character and he wasn't very nice as I remembered. >_>' I just want to clarify whether or not this character is considered something from another dimension based on how it behaves.

First of all, let me say that if what you're writing here is true, you are very fortunate to have such a spiritual gift.

Let me also say that I'm in no way trying to shove my religion down your throat, I just want to say a few things.

Even though I've been a christian for the past 8 years or so, I've had trouble believing in certain paranormal phenomena, even some of the ones described in the Bible. I'm a huge "Doubting Thomas" in that department. I've always tried to explain things scientifically. Recently though, I've been becoming more of a believer in paranormal activity. I'm realizing that just because science can't prove these things, doesn't mean they defy the laws of the universe. So little is known about our universe and its limitations that virtually anything is possible.

I don't want to sound like I'm shoving religion down your throat, but according to my christian beliefs, the spirit you've been communicating with is not an angel. One reason is, Jesus himself said that people don't marry after they've died and gone to heaven (More specifically, Matthew 22 verse 30 "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. ").

The whole story in context: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2022:23-33&version=NIV

If this Sephiroth spirit is telling you he is married to you and that he will be married to you after you die, then I think he is lying.

Another reason is, you mentioned in some of your blog entries that he gets jealous when you talk about other men. Well, jealousy is a sin, and it is common belief that angels don't sin. http://www.beliefnet.com/Inspiration/Angels/2006/08/Do-Angels-Rebel-Against-God.aspx

If he is not an angel, then I think there's a good chance he could be a demon or "fallen angel". There may very well have been an archangel named Sephiroth who decided to sin and became a demon. Since demons essentially are "angels gone bad" they can have the same powers and appear in any way they want.

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but communicating with spirits can be very dangerous, and demons are masters of disguise and professional liars. And nobody, not human nor angel nor demon, could ever love you as much as Jesus does.

Say, why don't you ask Sephiroth about the love of Jesus Christ?

You're all fucking nuts for caring. This person isn't even vastly known. Stop fapping like basement dwellers and get lives.

If she's psycho, let her be. What good are you going to do by telling her she's a stupid bitch? I know I wouldn't leave the internetz forever just because a group of 4chan/ED newfags spammed my pages.
