Here it is; here's what you've all been waiting for. My first real entry.

Fans are odd things. They will want you to sign their arms and their posters and their cds, but they could care less about you. About the personality behind the picture and/or talent, about the person who is really making it happen.

Everyone I know has a public persona. For me it's Scott Moffatt From The Moffatts, and then plain old Scott. There are lots of differences between the two, but given that they're both me they overlap. Overlapping is good. Overlapping is great. But when they're the same it gets a bit scary.

With a new band I'm having to build a new public persona, one that's a bit different from the last. And I'm not really sure where to start or where to end. I have vague ideas of what I want and that's it. But I suppose at this point in time it's not too important--I have at least six months before I have to worry about the general public and fans.

They're like women. Can't live with them and can't order them around.

	Promo is promo... you go out and go to as many places as physically possible and that are willing... it's fucking boring but it's what gets our name out there. World domination would be a bit difficult without promo. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Hey Scott...I am not even sure you guys still use this, but just in case you do, I want you guys to know I have been a fan ever since you guys sang (dream....I neeed you so) on the radio and were first getting noticed in the public eye!!! I recorded it and listened to it over and over! LOL! I have been a HUGE fan since that day, and have all of your cd's! I would just LOVE to be able to chat and become internet pals or something! I am like SO in love with you Scott!! You guys keep following what is in your heart, and all will turn out in the end! I do miss the Moffatt's very badly though! Ok, so this is your first real entry after several (which i have briefly skimmed through!). You say that your fans couldn't care less about "the personality behind the picture......" but how could they? They don't know you, all they can do is look up to you and listen to your music, because maybe thats as close as they can get! They don't get an option, they only see the outside of you, the picture that you portray! And if you want that to change you don't have to keep creating "new public persona's" you just have to be your self at all times! wow i never thought i would ever be saying this in my life scott moffatt is an asshole. ive never been the type of fan that has ever cared about anything else but your music and honestly i thought you guys were great i heard some of your stuff to and it was ok.. it was heartbreaking when you guy broke up and i was one of the fans who were crying because you guys were like heros to me day and night i would listen to you cds and to hear you speak the way you do really shows me the true person you are. ive always thought of you Scott to be someone of a sweetheart and when you guys came out with that song ... i dont want you to want me, i thought it showed the truth behind any celeberty life. but hearing the way you speak to dave really how low can you be, to make fun of a family member your suposed to be sticking up for them not putting them down. i was always picked on when i was younger and when i got to grade 9 i told the fucker to go fuck himself i grew a backbone and it felt great to be honest scott if you were my brother i call you a scronny little nothing. 	Scott is NOT an asshole...and so what if he is at times...you have to be blunt at times, to get aroundd in this thing we call life, if you don't then people will walk all over you!
