The Garage
Oh my f*cking god. I actually got out of the house on a Saturday night. Chris, my mate Mandy, and I went out to this place called the Garage. As you can probably tell, I've never been there before. They played punk music, which isn't my first choice, but only one band really sucked so I couldn't complain.
Most of the time was spent with Chris...in fact...ALL of the time was spent with Chris. We went up to this pizza place twice during the night because Chris was hungry. Now I know there is actually something to DO in my area. Anyway, we played pool and I sucked a**. It wasn't so bad, however, because Chris did too. :)
I saw my friend Dave who was expelled not to long ago. It was the first time I saw him in a long time. He was, of course, smoking, which generally puts me off, but it was nice to see him again.
Most of the time Chris and I sat together, bit each other, and we actually ended up falling asleep for a few minutes at the same time on one of the 300 couches there. Haha.
Dude! They had this REALLY cool couch there. It was retro with brightly coloured stripes. Erm...anyway.
About the band that sucked and why...the music was all...not music. Just a bunch of sound effects and a few seconds of periodic guitars...and a lot of drums. Not even punk music. Half of the people went outside during the song. They spent a half hour setting up, then took it all down, flickered the lights on and off for about 5 minutes, then started playing this sh*tty song. It was terrible.
On a more serious note, it was nice to go on my first real date. I had a lot of fun, and its definately something I'd like to do again.
There isn't much else to say about the Garage, other than it was fun, and it was great to get out of the house for a change.
