im new
hey there. my name is shaina. im new. im addicted, obsessed, with rocky horror. im fourteen, fifteen in august.

my obsession is the result of my mother and her friends thinking it would be cool to all live in one house with all of their kids like a little commune. since they had to get the kids to sleep somehow, why not put on the rocky horror picture show for them in a dark room? they were babies, they couldnt understand, so they'd fall asleep eventually.

well, little did they know, this bright idea of theirs implanted a very unusual little seed in their daughters. growing up, the rocky horror picture show was a very big part of my life and my friends' lives. my mother and her best friend sheryl used to go to all the shows and whatnot. they really really liked that movie.

eventually, bad stuff happened and my mother died. we all split up. sheryl and her kids moved away and i lived with my grandmother. a few years after, though, rocky horror came on VH1 one halloween and sparked some very odd memories.

so since then, i've been obsessed with the movie. its my entire childhood. i moved to bayonne, new jersey (which is where im located now), found some fellow rocky horror addicts, and lived happily ever after. every two or three weeks we all gather at my friend DL's house to watch it, and we bring new people every time. either we scar them for life, or they discover something hidden inside of them and join our little cult. either way, its fun.

im still a virgin, though. cant wait to get that over with. i've kept in contact with sheryl and told her my plans to see it in a theatre this summer sometime. all she said was, "do not sit in the back row. do not sit, period."

wow, this totally turned into a life story. sorry.
