Your Return
Winds whipping across my face
As I stand on the cliffs edge
Looking out upon the roiling ocean
I contemplate the world around me

The beauty of the violent sea
Moves me deeply
I think of emotions roiling and boiling
Within my breast

Wanting to be near you
I cast my eyes across the ocean
Looking for sight of your ship
I wait for you to come home to me

I long for the day when we will be together
So that I might hold you in my arms
And whisper in you ear
How much I have missed you

I wait on the cliff for you to return to me
So that I might show you in the night
How much I have missed you
And how much I desire you

So the wind and the rough seas
Are my companions till your return
