inspired by Thanksgiving and Eating Disorders...

are there anorexics or bulimins in 3rd world countries?

"Crystal. Finish your thanksgiving dinner. There are people in 3rd world countries starving to death and here you are complaining your fat and wishing you were starving when you have so much food in front of you..." Mom

	Yes anorexia and bulimia exists in developing countries(I don't think they're called 3rd world countries anymore either). I hope you don't envision that all people in this countries are starving while naked in the streets. And American shows are also everywhere (there's even MTV Asia). (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	i think eating disorders are very much a product of developed countries. i think that if survival is the first thing on your mind you aren't likely to play mind games with yourself and food. i have read of eating disorders spreading to all parts of the world though (Reply to this) (Thread)
