I saw Cats(-the musical) today. It was _amazing_. :)))

A whole different deal seeing it live than from TV(-as I had before)

Granted, I only saw a crappy national tour but...it is amazing, isn't it?

Yes, it is. :)

The plot is quite simple, but it's not the main thing, anyway...

Yes, it really all depends in what you're looking for in a show. Most of my theater friends look for plot and they can't see why Cats ran for 22 years on Broadway when it has no plot whatsoever. I do like plot in a musical but I favor music more, and Cats has spectacular music. The special effects don't hurt, either. ;)

But Cats does have a plot. It's just quite simple... but it's there, anyway. It's actually good enough, if you remember the musical is based on a poetry collection.

Welll...are you talking about the Grizabella story? I suppose it is something of a plot, but elaborate plots are supposedly what these megamusicals are all about. I don't know, though.
