School starts in five days. I'm pretty excited to go back. I'm nearly done with my AP US History stuff...I've got to do one more sub-section of chapter four (which is only about ten minutes of work), then all of chapter five, which I can hopefully get done before Saturday night. Bryan and I are supposed to go to the theatre after he gets off work to see Collateral, then I'm spending the night over his house.
I've had a lot of free time over the past few days, so I've been sewing a bit:
Put this on Friday...still have to go over the edges and cross-stitch it over the in-and-out style.
Started this wallet Saturday night, had the basic body finished by Sunday afternoon. Put the red stripe on it today, as well as a cross-stitch over the top. The sewing on the sides is amazingly sturdy, but the sewing on the stripe and along the top of the opening is really shoddy. I may still cross-stitch the stripe if it starts fraying too much. I'll probably get a friend of mine to screen a patch of some sort to put on the back, which is comptely blank. Oh, and yeah, I know the stripe is crooked...it wasn't meant to be straight.
Did this Burned Out Bright backpatck today. Surprised by how well it came out, especially considering how bad the Born Against backpatch I did ended up last time. I'm definitely going to go over it and cross-stitch to make it more secure. Hopefully it won't fall apart in the wash, or have all the screened ink flake up. Or I could just Febreeze the thing every month or so. Here's a close-up:

I'm getting a His Hero is Gone patch soon, but I'm not sure where to put it...I might bring back the ULTRAKRUST jacket. Also making a tote-bag soon. Probably take it record shopping, or to shows or something. I still need a place to put my Die, Emperor! Die! and Born Against backpatches.
I have some records coming in the mail soon, and I'm pretty excited about them: Bleed / Portraits of Past 7", Born Against - Battle Hymns of the Race War 10" (original press), Die, Emperor! Die! / Toru Okada 7" (if Charlie ever gets off his ass), La Quiete / The Pine 7" (if Ronald ever sends out the pre-order versions) and the Portraits of Past LP, which I should've had long ago. Born Against records have been hitting my turntable the most lately. Can't get enough of the shit. Really glad Sam found a bunch of copies of the original 10" version of Battle Hymns. It's their worst record, undoubtably, but still crucial to any self-respecting Hardcore kid.
Did some more back-to-school shopping recently, too. Picked up some nice jeans to replace the pair I've been wearing everyday since February, a pair of Dickies and a really nice flannel button-up shirt. I might get a haircut really soon...I'm really on the fence about it. It looks okay as it is, but I don't want to risk messing it up by trimming some. Oh well. The beard is coming in slowly but surely. Right now it's just a sad excuse for a neckbeard, but by mid-September is should be pretty crew.
Oh, yeah, I scanned in my ID card for this year:

It turned out pretty okay...I can only hope that my school photos look better than last year's.
Up the Punx.
