question seeking an answer
what do u think we're going to do in/with Iraq once the war is over? Is it going to be another Afghanistan where we take over, put a new (favorable) gov't and stay there to keep things uder control?
whats wrong with getting the best price for a product. are we bad for bargain shopping, why would the government be bad for it? if they don't give us a good price we can always go to alaska and suck a bunch from there.
We don't have to let them harvest their oil, we're only letting them do so with the understanding that they owe us--being thrifty is just dandy but being manipulative and abusive of power isn't.
I dont really know what is ganna happen. But I think by now we should have learned our leason but helping the middle easter countries. Every one we helped ended up being or enemys. We traind Bin Laden and look at what he did. Also we but Sadam in power and gave him anthrax spores and weapons of mass destruction. So I think we should just mind our own buissness.
I don't think whether or not we're going to set up a new government is really a proper question at this point. Of course we are, that's the plan. I think the real question is: is Iraq "going to be another Afghanistan" in the respect that its democratic government will fall apart into the hands of warlords, and if this whole war will be for nothing.
Bush says that he will divide up Iraq by religion. After all, the actual geography is our fault from nin the 1920s, when we made pretty random borders. That,of course, wont stop jack shit. These peoplehave been fighting so god-knows-how-long. Religion will just cause more attacks.
