In the mood for poetry.
I dug this old poem up. You've likely seen it. But it's one of my favorites. I have just now made a few edits and revisions to better the rhythm.
Solliloquy
O, how those lips I leave unkissed
Will haunt me ever more. My love.
For many years I pined, and now
When you were mine...I was a fool.
Abandoning you, fragile ghost,
How wretched, blinded, I must seem!
I fear and fear'd you didn't care...
Of course...You care. But still I ran
The fool I am! Because I was
Afraid. Maybe...I killed your love...
So delicate -- withered away
Smothered...you never saw a light
Your love was mine a time so sweet
Woefully too short. Your first kiss
Will be like that, as all firsts are.
I won't be able to give it
To you. Your lips deserve someone
Less cowardly. Find him someday.
I ran from you. And regret it.

Murdered, by my paranoia?!

Be able to give it to you.
