Apple is beginning to Design iTV, Shaking up the TV Industry
The analyst of US Investment bank Sterne Agee, Shaw Wu responded the Apple television rumor which appeared recently on Wednesday, he expressed supporting to this rumor, and thought that the Apple will access to the television industry. The prime report said that the Apple television will release in the middle of the next year. Apple's supply chain is set to begin gearing up for the introduction of 32-inch and 37-inch television sets in 2012.
It’s reported that the Apple supply chain will start to prepare for materials to satisfy the released timetable on Apple iTV during the second and the third quarter of the next year from the first quarter of next year. Samsung Electronics and Sharp already started to product chip and the displays for the Apple television. Earlier Apple TV rumors had Apple planning to build television functionality right into its next-generation iMac computers. The company will be turning its mainstream desktop Macs "into a bridge to a full-fledged television business," according to a research note from Wedge Partners analyst Brian Blair that made the rounds in early December. And in Tuesday's report that Apple is in fact planning another set-top box for its 2012 update of Apple TV.

Shaw Wu said: “Apple accesses to the television industry, to be honest, we do not feel surprise, as the television industry is the important terminal market which the Apple not yet penetrates only steps. Moreover, several data which obtains according to us, starts the independent patent which at least from the module manufacturer to the manufacturer partner as well as the Apple looking from 2005 applies, the Apple promotes the independent television for prepare.”

In the interim, Apple has made two significant adjustments to its sales of TV shows in the past few months. First, it killed off its TV show rental service, a decision the company attributed to consumer purchasing behavior "overwhelmingly" falling in favor of buying programming outright. It also introduced a new season-completion program that lets buyers pick up the rest of a show's season at a discounted rate if they've already purchased an episode.

Shaw Wu pointed out that the true key point lies in the duplication broadcast television pattern. It's difficult to say whether any of these rumors will come to fruition. Jobs' biographer Isaacson threw cold water on the notion that an Apple TV set would come to market anytime soon.
