And I Have Been Blessed...
I had a wonderful birthday. Thank you all for the gifts you sent me. I appreciate that many of you took the time to wish me the best on my birthday. I believe I will always remember my 26th birthday for many reasons. Your kindness is one reason.

There is also another reason. I know I'm not the only one in this situation right now, but I still feel like the most blessed person in the world right now.

My birthday will always be my birthday. Now, it will always be the day I got engaged to the love of my life as well.

Many people think that I am afraid of commitment and I cannot say that my actions disprove that. The truth was never about commitment. I was ready to commit to the person I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Until a few months ago, I was still searching for that person.

Now that I have found that person, commitment is not an issue. I will give Drew the rest of my life and the next life and the next life. No questions asked. He accepts me for exactly who I am and is willing to help me lug around all of the baggage I might have. I am happy to do the same for him. That is commitment already. The ring and the ceremony is just for show. We already have what we really need.

We have all of the ingredients we need to make it in this world. Now we are ready to share that with the rest of the world.

Joey...I really don't even know where to start to express my congratulations. You are an amazing individual. You're bright, you're funny, you're generous, gracious, kind-hearted and good-spirited. I see how happy you make my brother, and I can't imagine you not being there for him, I can't imagine having to see Drew before you. Thank you for being there for him, thank you for loving him like you do. Thank you for making him smile. As I've said, you're an amazing person, and it's an honor to be able to call you my brother. Congratulations on engagement, Joey. I'm grateful for you, making Drew as happy as he is. I see him, with that glowing in his eyes, and I know you're the right person for our brother. Treat Drew the way he deserves 'cos he's an amazing individual like you are. In turn, I'm sure he'll make you one of the few luckiest man alive. He's our brother and you will be too. See? I love you Joseph Anthony. I'm a better person because you're here with me. Thank you for giving me a family of my own. I know that she's not my daughter, but I will always love and cherish the moments that I spend with Briahana. Someone once told me that I must love you an awful lot for taking on "the baggage". I don't see it like that. To love one you must love them both, I said. And I do. I love you both with everything I have and I always will. You're my heart and soul. Forever and always.
