First off, i would like to say that my name is NOT Norma Jean Baker, it is Alex. I suppose you are wondering why I chose that name for my for my web journal alterego (i don't know if that is one word or two, ahhh screw it!) Norma Jean Baker is, in fact, the REAL name of Marilyn Monroe. Before the fame, money, fans, golden locks and prescription pills, Marilyn Monroe was a factory working brunette named Norma Jean Baker.
Lots of people start online journals with the intent of become a new person, the person they always wanted to be, but never were. They like the idea of smoothing away the wrinkles in their personality; there goes the F i got in PreCalc, there goes my parent's divorce, there goes my acne -until all that is left is THEIR Marilyn. Perfect, popular, famous, and platinum blond. No more poor brown haired orphan, shuttled from one foster home to the next.
Not me. I am going to lay my heart and soul on the line. My rants, raves, problems....and my very real successes. No Marilyn metamorphosis for me! I am perfectly happy to stay Norma Jean Baker.
